I see in some peoples profiles they dont want small talk so just seeing what the majority here say

Depends the type of people you are looking to attract I'd say.

Polite and respectful with a hint of cheekiness is far more appealing than straight to the FAF, any day

A bit of cheeky banter goes along way in my book.. "Fancy a fuck" seems a tad crude (even for a sex site) but each to their own.. & comedy gets to weaken the elastic on my knickers.. but if you can get into my head somehow, my body seems a more willing participant..

Something upbeat and funny, works for us. A comment about why you picked us (one of our pics, a comment on a forum thread, something in our profile etc..) is good too. Add in some open ended questions that we can reply to beyond yes/no.

It's also good to leave it open ended so we don't feel like you're demanding a reply.
