Does bad spelling and grammar put anyone else off? I don't mean the occasional slip in a message but full on child like errors in profiles.

Am I too picky ?

The majority of the time when people are online they're doing something else as well so I don't judge spelling personally. I do like threads like this though especially when you have a spelling mistake in your profile. Life is too short

Winds me up, I'm dyslexic and I work hard to try and get it right. Text speak too, if you're too lazy to write properly.......

"Corrected and put in my place. "

If you're being picky OP the word "I" when referring to oneself should be a capital

Life's a bit too serious at the moment not to see the funny.

Only bugs me when someone is trying to be all highbrow, then makes basic errors that aren't typos.

Dyslexic people I have time for as you can tell it's an ongoing thing, also the lazy quick preoccupied typers like myself

Some spelling and grammar mistakes irritate some annoy. Typical examples, the plural of you is not yous, could of instead of could have and I seen or I done rather than I saw and I did. Tenderhooks rather than tenterhooks.

Dyslexia is not the fault of the person it’s a fault of mother or father as it is passed on I’m lucky my wife knows what I’m on about half the time tho she has had 26 years to learn lol tho even if someone can’t spell fuck I would still fuck them lol xx

'Yous' .... Sounds like something Biffa Bacon would say, or his dad. He's from your neck of the woods isn't he?

Have to admit that I am more drawn to a well written profile with correct spelling and grammar if possible. The problem is that you can never tell if it's just laziness or a genuine problem that someone has.

In messages, I can forgive mistakes there either way. We're all guilty of typos, surely ? And sometimes I forget - when sending a message - that my autocorrect hasn't changed any part of it !
