Green fingered therapy, anyone?

Any passionate gardeners on here going to be using the lockdown time to get some gardening in?

We're getting some seeds started for some fresh fruit and veggies, and also doing the "grow from scraps" thing again, which is just so satisfying.

And of course, plants don't answer you back, so much better than the family sometimes

We have, our garden has had a spring clean and tidy, some plants took out/moved/planted. Grass cut. All the pots ed and tidied up. I have some sunflower seeds to plant but normally by now i'd have some summer bedding plants from the garden centre, we put them under a shelter until its warm enough to put them in pots, i'm not sure what i'll do this year !

Me!!!! I love it, and find it therapeutic. My veg patch os looking like it did when i first done it. Old strawberries tidied, new ones waiting. White onions in, red ones will go in soon, potatoes almost ready to be planted. Pumpkins seeds in greenhouse and I'm giving alium seeds a go.

Greenhouse soil to do today then I can plant my chillies and peppers.

I painted my fences as well

We have an allotment, but not sure how much longer we'll be allowed to go down there, so making sure we have some stuff set up at home as well.

Any ideas for folks who may be in a flat or without an outdoor space who still want to grow their own?

micro greens, lettuce, rocket, pea shoots and salad leaves on the window sill. Tomato plants on the balcony or the patio variety in a sunny window. However if you haven't got the seeds now its unlikely that you'll get them easily.

Debating . I've a ongoing issue with a squirrel whom has destroyed all my pots...so will leave none out this year...he needs a good whipping !

Pumpkins are huge bedhoggers, but they do look incredible when they're growing.

Sounds like you're keeping yourself busy, hope you can still find some time for your naked sunbathing lol

we've got most of our seeds in just runners and French beans to go and the fortnightly sowing of rocket and salad leaves.

A little link for those of you who can't get hold of seeds, we did leeks, onions, spring onions and lettuce last year and was really pleased with the results.

There's about 20 on the list, so even if you tried a new one each week, it'll definitely keep you busy.

Chilli spray is good, as is going out after a good rainfall with a kebab skewer

Beer traps, raised beds seem the best way. Also try crunching egg shells and make 2-3 lines of defence when you figure where they advance from !!!

Oh yes!

I'll only grow 2 or 3 pumpkins if they germinate. I'll probably have to dig out another area just for them!! Ooooooo me backs going to kill

Doing major rework in our garden to keep busy smashing up lots of old concrete two old patio areas. Want to do some decking slabbed area large shed or garage and re turf the big that’s left

I was going to plant up a couple of cherry bushes, but grower can no longer supply them or any seedlings so garden is looking very bare now,just have to wait for my roses to bloom.

Amazon looks like it's still selling seeds and bushes. May be worth a look.

On the upside, you get roses to look forward to
