Central

With the government deciding not to take appropriate action some months ago that would help to protect the NHS staff that would face the public who could be carrying a potentially lethal infection - worse, it could kill them as well as making them vectors for others to become infected too.

We have a number of medical staff who have died or become ill. Johnson a couple of weeks ago was still promoting this as the right approach - minimal testing of everyone, including front line staff. The government has avoided responsibility for investing appropriately in to the NHS as well as cancelled UK pandemic evaluation and preparations late in 2019.

Shameful attitude to our NHS staff from this sociopathic lot.

I think that's what they said on the news, yes. Either they are self isolating with symptoms or have it

I read that too: 1/4 of doctors are off either sick or self isolating. The head of the Royal College of Physicians made the announcement so I guess a reputable source.

The head of the Royal College of Nurses said 1/5 of nurses are off for similar reasons.

Just like the flu some say but some health professionals are scared to death to work in the profession. Two sisters on the front line, day in day out, hope to God they see this through, big families await them.
