Case tested and confirmed In the care home I work in. It’s all a very scary time right now for us staff and residents with mental capacity. Unsure of what the process will even be for if cases start to rise in the care home scary stuff ... stay safe everyone

both my mother aged 93 and my father aged 92 ended up in nursing home for last year of their life's

The treatment they received from carers like yourself was excellent and all of you who work in the care sector are a huge value to this country

this may not help you at this scary time, but thank you for your work, it is very much appreciated, the care you provide is valued more than you will ever realise

so again, thank you.

Can I ask if you've received appropriate PPE as yet?

That's sad news.

I work in respite care and we shut our service to prevent the spread.

Masks have been provided, we obviously already have gloves/aprons etc. however I feel we should be given the suits if/when we go into this resident.

Yes our doors have been closed now for around 2 weeks which probably means a staff member is carrying it which is even scarier!! Especially as it in theory could be myself!!

I've just had suspected symptoms the scary thing is you dont know for up to 14 days... it could've been staff but it might not have been. This is why front line testing is needed.

I'm going to be utilised in another service at some point. Which is scary as we havent been given extra PPE as of yet
