He deserves our thanks at the very least.

Ear, nose and throat consultant who volunteered to work in A and E.

People like him are the very bedrock of the NHS, can we are so so lucky to have them.

My heart is breaking for all of our heroes go out there day after day and put their lives at risk for us all.

Thank you all of you guys! May history remember you all as the people who stuck their necks out to save ours. What truly amazing people!

"Never in the field of human endeavour was so much owed by so many to so few"

Very apt.

These people will be revered by future generations in just the same way as the Battle of Britain pilots were venerated and honored by my and also my parents generation. The NHS was this nations gift to itself after the horror of two World Wars. The moneymakers have waited for the people who fought for it to die out before they tried to spoil it, underfund it, disparage it, and thereby slyly take it from us. When Covid is in the past it will be 30 years before they dare try it again! Long live our NHS!

46 doctors have died from this virus in Italy alone. It's so tragic and heartbreaking.

"46 doctors have died from this virus in Italy alone. It's so tragic and heartbreaking."

We are very lucky to have the dedicated people we have. The day the call comes in I will do all that I can to stand behind these people.

When this is all over let us not forget everything they have done for us.

I feel very humbled right now

Also

Dr Habib Zaidi a GP who died from suspected Coronavirus on 25.03.20. Even though he was 76 he was an active GP in Leigh-on-Sea, had been self-isolating and had not seen patients in person for about a week.

Dr Adil El Tayar a Surgeon aged 63 who died from Coronavirus on 25.03.20 after he had previously volunteered at Hereford Hospital in the Midlands during the coronavirus outbreak.

All the Doctors, Nurses and NHS staff who have given up thier hard earned retirement to return to the front line are all going to be at an age that makes them more vulnerable yet they have still risen to the call.

History will judge them Frontline heroes.

Little Englanders take note that this giant of a man was Sudanese. He also worked at Derby and Burton Hospitals. The latter being where both my children were born.

We can never thank him and others like him enough.

That's a very powerful comment. And considering an experience I had today involving intolerance it's really what I needed to hear. Thank you

It's very true though isnt it?

Could easily bring the hypocrisy of Brexit into this but it will just descend into a pointless argument.

Yes rather not politicise this.

Thank you to those above who mentioned others who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Today I'm at a point where one loses faith in human kind. This is keeping me going.

When a person will stand in the way of aged people getting their prescriptions over an accent... I dispair.

I want to add I believe these were immigrants working in the NHS I havent confirmed but I'm sure someone here will know.

They were also muslims as far as I can tell.

The media havent once mentioned this and I am saying this to build bridges and show you how bias and how they show double standards.

I want to show that even immigrants and even muslims are good people too.

I'm expecting some will attack me for this but hey

Absolutely Sikhs Hindus atheists agnostics and so forth.

I'm highlighting these particular 3 were the first to lose their lives for us ALL and I believe they happen to fall in to the 2 main categories that are usually blamed or targeted by the right wing or the media.

That being immigrants and muslims.

I hope this shows those racists biggots or Islamophobes in particular that these are humans with a heart and soul too.

Peace!

It's a good post. We are all humans at the end of the day. Yes there are differences that divide us but there commonality that binds us too.

This COVID-19 thing is a chance to show how beautiful we can be as human beings, standing together and supporting one another.

No attacks from me. Just respect.
