Is it just me or is anyone else feeling constantly emotional and crying for no reason right now

It’s doing my head in

Maybe I’m suffering from anxiety or just worrying all the time

Hope it’s not just me

It’s not just you, it’s a great many of us.

Have you ever tried to meditate? Sounds trite but in my experience it helps.

It’s totally understandable and a normal reaction to difficult times, we will all deal with things diffently.

Letting your feelings out is good and I’d see that as a positive.

I don’t think it is just you. I know my sisters have both cried. I’m sure it’s a lot of different emotions that everyone is going through. I’m not sure that I’ve got any words of comfort for you except to say you’re definitely not alone. I love the forums on here, they always make me laugh so I’ll be investing much more time reading everyone’s stories. It might not be over soon but it will be over. So it’s a virtual hug from me x

It’s affecting huge numbers of people. Try to keep telling yourself that although it’s bad now, it’s definitely temporary, we will all definitely come out of this and things will be different / better.

Make a list of all the the things you can be thankful for , it could be a lot, lot worse.

If you are anxious or panicky, the tip to mediate is good. Just learn how to breathe again, low down like a baby does using your diaphram rather than your chest , it will change how you feel in seconds

Take care x

I think a lot of people are feeling anxious and frightened and have various ways of expressing it. I notice that lots of people seem to almost take pleasure in feeding that anxiety (by that I don't mean this thread) and dismiss anyone who tries to calm it.

The almost blanket coverage of the current situation doesn't help. I genuinely think it's useful to turn the news off, stop reading social media unless it's positive and just listen to music or watch light entertainment telly.

For some it's almost a form of grief for a way of life that's suddenly stopped so it will take a while to adapt.

It's not just you, lovely lady. Like you, we miss our families. We have a new baby girl due in our family, in June, I'm very anxious for my niece, at this time. It's the fear of the unknown, for us all, I think. You take care.xxx

Thank you for all your comments and nice words

I’m glad it’s not just me

I realise this is affecting people in different ways

I’m just worried with working all the time

Maybe I wouldn’t feel so bad if I was in the house not been near anyone

Take care everyone

Xxx

I had a bad day yesterday, felt trapped with no where to go , ended up on a canal crying to the ducks I was feeding , must of looked a right idiot, it’s the uncertainty of it all , how long will it last ? Will we die ? I’ve now stopped watching the news , too depressing, god What I’d give for a cuddle from a human ,it’s the little things I miss the most , that we all take for granted

I have cried one day just had a little melt down but that's ok OP. Crying is good it's much better than being full of anger, the two emotions usually come hand in hand. Like said already you are not alone, everyone is struggling. At least we have eachother to talk to,you will most likely get some relief after letting out the tears. Then it's just acceptance of the whole situation we are in and try make the best of it. Hold your head up and keep the positivity going.

Aah bless you. None of us have the answers. As long as we do what is asked of us, we can do no more. It will be helpful when they start rolling out the testing kits, whenever that is. Hope you have a better day today. Virtual {{hugs}} x

I have Christian faith. Miss being able to attend Church and meet others. Still try to pray regularly. Find it difficult in normal times...

Nice to see supportive words on here.

Stay strong, keep up the things you need to do to stay sane. Exercise if you can. Be creative etc.

I have PTSD, it's been under control now for about 20 years but it's come back with a vengeance this last week or so. I'm really struggling to cope with just about anything. Just trying to keep a grip

Masked and Distant

A good cry can release endorphins and can be good for you. Holding it in can be worse.

Think we are all feeling all sorts at the moment.

Have a socially distant hug back,

Just wanted to say, if anyone is struggling with mental health, feels down, upset, like they cannot cope anymore my inbox is always OPEN to anyone who wants to have a chat.

6-7 years ago I was a drug addict, I know what it's like to be locked inside your mind and constantly feel low! Honestly if anyone is struggling during these times I'm a message away!
