You realise that this thing hasn't really got started yet. We are now being told it's going to get worst before it gets better. The question is how much worst will get.

I don't quite understand how the infection rate is supposed to carry on rising?

Based on the assumption that the virus has an incubation period of two weeks (before symptoms show and a person actually feels unwell) I would expect to see a pronounced downturn after three weeks from the beginning of lockdown?

The number of deaths may continue to rise at a differing rate as some people who are already sick tragically expire.

I wonder what the government really knows and what we really don't. I'm not getting into the realms of conspiracy but we are now being to that stronger restrictions are possible and the prime minister is writing to us all which to me suggests that possibility isn't far away from turning to fact.

It get a lot worse as some companies still forcing people to work even though it's not essential I do feel for people that are having to work nhs frameworks on supermarkets sending you all the best keep safe and thank you for doing a great job

Slimming world ware house still open how the hell is that essential work especially as all the meeting have now stopped.

Just look at the number of facebook adverts from online shops...someone is manufacturing the good, other staff in the warehouse and distribution...all means a lot more people at work undermining the lockdown and still no mass testing, even for NHS and care staff let alone supermarket workers.

There's 28k people logged in to fab right now.

We will probably loose that many people from the population by the time this if finally finished.

I think, with some slackening and then retightening of lockdown measures, this will go on until we either find a vaccine or most of the population has had the virus (population/heard immunity).

A vaccine is at least 12 to 18 months away but could be a lot longer (the common cold is another type of corona virus and they've been trying to create a vaccine for that for over 50 years).

Population immunity could also take years if we want to achieve it without overwhelming the health service and consequently increasing the death rate.

I think we're in for the long haul on this one.
