"Yes, we are. Apart from the background concerns about family etc we're quite content. Some positivity is needed I think and we shouldn't feel bad about being ok My thoughts exactly. I was on a well known chat site earlier and said so , and was shot down in flames. " I think people react differently to events like this which, let's face it, none of us have experienced before on such a scale. It's rather unfashionable at the moment to be upbeat unless you're a celebrity "entertaining the troops" on Instagram or YouTube

"No I'm not. Explain Well I want to Go out see family friends etc. Me too, I miss my family " , Me too, I'm desperately trying to set up continuity of food deliveries to my parents, worried about our son miles away and alone in his flat and our daughter working from home and going stir crazy. However there's not a thing I can do other than stay in touch so I might as well be as positive as possible for their sake as much as my own.

"I’m not , it got to me big time yesterday , went for a walk along the canal by me and sat down and had a good cry , missing going home to Coventry etc , stuck in a place I don’t want to be and felt trapped , first time I’ve ever felt lonely in my life and it wasn’t nice " Are you OK x

"Just the 3 of us then Nicecouple " Lol. Relentless positivity can piss people off . But if you can't change something you have to accept it.

Are there any ways you can feel less lonely. Can you FaceTime people, chat via the net, have an old fashioned phone call etc? I know it isn't the same.

I am desperately sorry for those that are sad, lonely or anxious though.

"I'm trying to focus on positives from it, I miss everyone else and am worried but I'm having a lovely time with my daughter. Do you know the Serenity Prayer they use in AA? I'm not an addict of any sort btw but I think the twelve step programme is just a great take on life for anyone, so I try apply it where I can... "Give me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference" I've been trying to get this through to a friend who is really struggling with lockdown and obsessing over the news so just mentioning in case it's any help to anyone else." That's thoughtful. I can't imagine what it must be like to be lonely and alone if you dont want to be

"Hmmmm OP tbh it’s not the best but it’s a necessary measure to take for the greater good, tbh I do miss hitting the gym or going out to shops etc or seeing family....my jobs are both in the same industry but one has been put on hold for now due to the lockdown. But the other one I can still go to a few nights a week, for sure though once things start to go back to normal later down the line I’m going back into my normal routine and not to mention visiting a few off my favourite swingers clubs again. I hope you’re lockdown isn’t driving you mad OP " My lockdown is lovely I am very fortunate to be completed content and mostly unaffected.

"My lockdown is lovely I am very fortunate to be completed content and mostly unaffected." the eternal optimist eh? Hehe well it suits you I’m glad to see you’re well. tbh I’m keeping it together especially for the family as my parents and siblings are at Times on edge but I try to keep em calm or we discuss updates on clean up procedures or vaccine trials etc to remain positive as we have family members in the NHS and abroad too....funnily enough if this pandemic etc was not happening I was planning on visiting Townhouse either this month or next month but that’s been put aside for obvious reasons.

"Let's hope it does reopen, some clubs are saying that financially it may not be possible " true after all they announced they where going to pay 80% off peoples and business owners wages but let’s be honest I doubt they could cover or deliver it realistically speaking. Who knows though maybe the swing clubs could do a post corona fund raiser to get things back on track? They can then turn that frown upside down mysecretlife

"Well i miss the clubs the social gathering and all my mates toguther having a pint over a nice chat of what happen over the week..but im ok inside safe and doing my part..keeping everyone else safe" Yes it's a nice feeling knowing that by doing something so simple you are helping every other person out there.

"Is anyone else perfectly content in lockdown?" Absolutely content. My self isolation began on 1st January however this had to be broken on many occasions due to international travelling. It wasn't in my control. As soon as I could I returned back and thus started my self isolation and lockdown from 4th March. Today will be my 25th day since I ventured out without a break to this. It's going well so far and hopefully is same for all. Peace

"Just the 3 of us then Nicecouple " You can add me. I do miss my friends and I'm worried about my Dad, but much of my life is lived online and long distance already so apart from not being able to go to work (and the associated financial worries) there isn't as big a change for me as there is for most others. I'm just planning to use this time productively so I can come out the other end not regretting the opportunity it has given me. And the times I do get a bit down I just prompt myself to remember all the people who are working so hard to keep the basic necessities of life turning over. If they can cope with the extra work and the stress and anxiety then I can cope with staying in my house for a few weeks. It would be churlish for me to feel otherwise.

"Is anyone else perfectly content in lockdown?" Perfectly content? That's a very high bar. LOL Have to say I'm skating this, though. Then again, it's a lot easier when you're used to living on your own. The lockdown is going to be tough going for most - especially if it lasts three months, as now seems likely. We will all get through it, though none of us can be certain in what shape.

"I've noticed virtually no change to my life, as I'm a lifelong highly solitary bloke. I'm very comfortable and happy being locked down. It's like a much needed mid-life hibernation. Booze, laptop, comfort food, empty house, books, bed etc. Loving it. " Thats good to hear

"Found this poem and it's very appropriate for now it's by Kathleen O'Meara called 'And People Stayed Home,' Written in 1869, after the Irish famine And people stayed home and read books and listened and rested and exercised and made art and played and learned new ways of being and stopped and listened deeper someone meditated someone prayed someone danced someone met their shadow and people began to think differently and people healed and in the absence of people who lived in ignorant ways, dangerous, meaningless and heartless, even the earth began to heal and when the danger ended and people found each other grieved for the dead people and they made new choices and dreamed of new visions and created new ways of life and healed the earth completely just as they were healed themselves. " Thank you for that. I've copied and saved it
