I agree. It is that type of behaviour from companies that will mean that it will take a bigger toll and we'll stay in lockdown for much longer, trying to recompense for the extra infections that arise from all the staff and their contacts. I feel sorry for the people pressured to work. Companies to avoid.

Northampton Somewhere

It's not just warehouse people still working. I found out my nephew is working on a new housing estate in Chelmsford. He still lives with his parents who are bothe isolating for 12 weeks because of health issues!! He and loads if his co workers are too scared to walk off site for fear of losing their jobs.

Apparently they sent an email out saying to self isolate if you show symptoms but they have to go in with normal cold symptoms and it might just be hayfever anyway!

Companies should be looking at the bigger picture. Fucking arseholes

I live on a building site which only closed yesterday.

It was unreal seeing the builders working away as normal, no social distancing whatsoever

I've recently delivered to some warehouses for probably the largest online retailer, and they'd shock anybody. Hundreds of workers working and sorting parcels literally rubbing elbows with the rest, and hardly any masks to be seen. So don't buy from their website, because you're supporting the same level of neglect if you do.

NW London

The big problem is that a lot of these workers don't have a choice financially, they can't afford to simply walk out and many would be unable to take the furlough option.

For those concerned about poor work practices during the crisis, look up Rachel Reeves MP.

She has information on who to get in touch with. Sorry I can't post a link.
