"Runs out April 19th and tax due may 1st i know get 6 month extension on mot but Does this get updated so tax can renew??" Ok, that helps a lot because the advice changes depending on whether your MOT was due before or after 30 Mar 20. Your vehicle will be automatically given a 6-month MOT exemption. This will extend your current MOT expiry date by 6 months. So it must be completed by 19 Oct 20. If your vehicle tax is due, you can tax your vehicle as soon as your MOT due date has been updated. To check this go to the following and type in your car details: https://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-tax The DVLA server should update within ay or two, but as you have nearly a month then you do not have to panic. Please note that MOT centres are still open, so you can still book your car in for a test.
