My wing mirror got smashed on my way home from work (I'm a key worker), tried going to Halfords but they are closed because of Corona virus. Anyone know of a car parts shop open to the public?

Car repair garages are still open, maybe you could ask your local one to source one for you or give you a number for their supplier (if you intend to fix it yourself)

Halfords garages are open aren’t they?

Most garages are open for car repair work as this is deemed an essential sector

Think halfords reopen tomorrow. Euro car parts far better (and cheaper) though.

A lot of car parts are difficult to get hold of as most factories are on shut down.

If you can’t fit it yourself i would suggest contacting your local franchise dealer, explain key worker etc and hopefully they might help.

What car is it and which side?

I received an e-mail a few days ago from Halfords newsletter stating they would remain open... maybe try another branch?

But I've also had more success from Euro Car.

I'm also believe that vehicles are exempt from MOT for the time being, if it's not critical you can probably get away with it, and insurances have been asked to be more lenient. That was said on the BBC1 this afternoon... please don't quote me on it, I wasn't paying too much attention to the news article... maybe worth looking into it?

Nonetheless, hope you manage to get sorted out!

Try your local car dismantlers you'll probably get the whole unit class everything together but usually around about 20 to £35 obviously dependent what car is or just look look for a local car spares and car parts local to you euro car can be very expensive.

As previously posted Euro car parts are open as they are essential parts suppliers to the emergency services and haulage industry, they usually sell to the general public but if your struggling I would be happy to help
