So they put all the prices up.

They having fantastic sales can't keep up with stuff. So as well as having staff stopping people buying in bulk. They took of all the offers.

So no more cheap shopping.so people losing jobs and people on low incomes.

Can't buy as much as they used to.

So Tesco making more money but stopping panic buying because people can't afford to shop anymore

Same as others they have taken link saves off due to the restriction on the amount you can buy

ie 5 for 4 etc etc which won't work if you can only buy 2 or 3 of each item

And because nobody is paying full price they have loads left in next few days and end up putting reduced stickers on it on the last sell by date..

I think Tesco are less indulging in profiteering and more likely are seeing the cost of inputs increase as a result of supply shocks.

Having been in tesco today unfortunately i have to disagree. While they have reduced multi buys, quite a lot of what I bought that usually had a multi buy option was actually cheaper. So they arent gaining, by reducing prices on those items they achieve the same thing but just take away the multi buy offers.

Yup. I'm used to only buying protein that's reduced in Lidl. Now nothing is reduced and cause I'm having to go in every couple of days for elusive things, I'm spending more.

sadly the coop I use near work have had to get guards at the entrance and 1 in the store due to staff getting abuse.

also think its to prevent people taking too much of one product. sad
