Wouldn't it be a great idea if somehow the supermarkets could prioritise home delivery for NHS workers. It would save their time trying to queue, it would give them a little bit less chance of unfortunately carrying the virus from hospital to a supermarket, and it would be a way of showing appreciation for everything they are doing for us on the Frontline right now. I'm sure it could be worked out if the supermarkets but a little bit of time into sorting it, what do you think?

I wasn't even bringing the panic buying into it karma I was just thinking it could be something that gives them more time to do whatever it is they need to be doing, whether it's seeing family, omg or at work, plus it lessens the spread of infection as they don't need to go to supermarkets where they potentially could unfortunately accidentally contaminate people, but of course they need to eat the same as everybody else.

It would be better if supermarkets could set up a separate delivery service for NHS and emergency workers only, they could deliver to the hospitals as a bulk order. Keep the priority items specially in stock too.

It's not a problem I am trying to address here though.

It's a completely separate thing that I'm not referring to with this suggestion.

I think most big name supermarkets have saved the next few weeks of home deliveries for NHS staff.

Hope so, seems people keep forgetting that our bodies are like cars and they need fuelling to keep running and we really need them more than ever atm. Loss of sleep will take its toll without starvation on top xxx Thank you to all the NHS staff, key workers and others at this difficult time xxx

Obviously they weren't studying China or Italy comprehensively enough. Their doctor's and nurses have the same problem with getting food too. So why not here.

Could have been handled better and sooner. A + E's have already had issues with staff overworked in recent times. The warnings signs were there.
