"My company as well as hundreds more (if not thousands) are not taking g this seriously at all. I work in a walk in type of environment so anyone can walk in at any time plus house visits etc. Our company motto at the moment "business as usual!" I am absolutely flabbergasted at the fact that our company has said that if we want to self isolate then we have to take it as holiday or unpaid leave... I get 21 days holiday a year and bills to pay! Rant over.... " They’re not following government guidelines- self isolate for 7 days 80% of your wages is guaranteed by legislation and we will be on total lockdown by Friday. Don’t go in.

" But until it becomes government telling you not to go in then some will have to to get paid. We are still expected to be in and working until the premises we visit are empty or we are told by government that we cannot travel. Then they will have no choice but until then I suspect that if we refused to travel then we would not be paid.

" Nope my company has advised they will not pay sick pay for the first 3 days then pay sick pay for a further 4 days and only continue to pay an additional 7 days (as per my contract) if we have been tested positive for the virus (and as far as I am aware it is taking longer than 14 days to get tested).

Some company’s will take advantage and others will not know how to act, the second is due to the situation we find our selves in and the in chartered territories..... Thingy, thumbs up girl, keep up the vital work

"I drove through Chorlton in Manchester yesterday and there were 2 local bars that appeared to be open. Beggars belief and I hope they cop a massive fine." They should be either removed from any business relief and/or lose their licence, the only way to deal with these money grabbing idiots is to hit their pocket

I'd hate to be in the bosses shoes if any of it's staff die because of a contract.

What I suspect is that these companies will find that word gets around and once this is over then they will find themselves with no staff. And that people will not work for them. In my industry even before this there were companies that you would only work for if you desperately needed work.
