I just saw figures that track the death rate of Italy as compared to the UK, over the same timescales from when the first deaths were reported on each country.

Do you know what the analysts found?

That on 19th March, at the time the numbers were published, the death rate in the UK was tracking EXACTLY as that of Italy . 144 compared to Italy’s 148 at the same time from outbreak. On a day by day basis, going back to the outbreak, the numbers are almost identical, step by step.

It’s been widely reported that social distancing is PARAMOUNT.

Here is a link that explains where we are at:

If you’re still going about your business as normal, like the thousands that poured to the beach at the weekend or, because you think “it’ll all blow over” then please have a fucking word with yourself. You’re a bell end.

Yes it’s a pain in the ass being away from everyone. Yes people will lose jobs. People will lose business. People will struggle with child support. But unless you’re a key worker, you should be at home. If you’re not, then you’re not doing your bit to help fight this disease. If you’re not social distancing, then you’re the one contributing to the pressure being put on the NHS and you’re the one risking the lives of those vulnerable among us. You’ll prob don’t be ok. But many won’t

Please help yourself. Help someone else. Stay at home.

I quite agree. Such a lot is changing every day. I now think we would be better going into a lockdown as the sooner that happens I think the sooner we will get a grip on this.

Adding my POV as I head to hospital to look after virus patients.

Italy was doing well in controlling numbers. The government said the were effectively going to lock down the north. At which point so many people rushed south with the virus.

We must have lockdown.

Umm.... they *have* closed the schools. They are only partially open now for kids of key workers to enable those key workers to work.

Clacton on sea, Essex

There's more than meets the eye with is as some cases vary to others, we're told if you think you might have it self isolate etc then like 2 cases in the Clacton area the authorities go over extreme compared to others that have been diagnosed.

By extreme we mean men in suits similar to those on outbreak with tunnels being put up from the door of the houses to white ambulance like vans then hours spent cleaning then sealing the house again in these suits.

And why have people filming the incident had their phones cameras taken by authorities and wiped, you'd think it was Anthrax the way the it was handled.

Similar is happening all over the country/World of incidents like this yet other people diagnosed with supposedly the same illness are only taken into hospital if it gets bad and they don't get the white suit army like clean up...

We'd love the luxury of having a local doctor ours shut 2 weeks ago, you make it sound like southerners are fetching it across your border but I know you wouldn't imply that.
