"People will die of fear and stupidity, not the virus.

But mainly the virus."

People will die of the stupidity and complacency of others. With a side of respiratory distress.

To be pedantic they will likely die of a pre existing condition with the death being contributed to by Covid-19. As has been the case with the vast majority, if not all of the deaths in the UK so far.

I don't have relevant training, but the prognosis for serious cases sounds bad enough all on its own.

'I would emphasise that there were a lot of people in their 30s, 40s, 50s, who were dying as well,' Dr Aylward said at a conference earlier this month.

'People who did have co-morbid conditions had a much higher ratio of dying from the disease, but in most people there were no other predictors, apart from age, that they could die.'

Two things, first off pre-existing condition can mean things such as being obese or having high blood pressure, not exactly unusual problems as they affect a large number of people.

Secondly, oh, that's OK then we just write everyone off who isn't perfectly fit, that seems in line with the policies of the 1930's.

If you want to be pedantic go for it

Hypertension you're fine. Its not a respiratory condition. Hypertensive heart disease not looking quite so good. As for the obese, well the morbidly obese are fucked if they get it. The fact it's common makes no difference. But if you are obese your organs including your lungs are under constant additional strain. You wont get a ventilator.

And no that's not writing people off. This is why people are being told to self isolate. And it's why people are being told to socially distance. And it's why people ignoring this are being so fucking selfish.

And the reason I pointed out comorbidities is my earlier post is because people have to realise that when they fuck off to the beach, or to snowdon like hundreds have this weekend they'll probably be fine. But their elderly relatives maybe not so much. People need to realise this isn't about us, most of us will be okay. But we need to look out for those that are already I'll and too many people seem to be too selfish or too stupid to grasp that

I'll probably be fine if/when I get this. But my health has issues... I might not be. And even if it didn't... I might not be. And that's even if I didn't care about others.

I hate being cooped up like anyone else, but we have to do it.

Is not the other way round the virus gets into the lungs and embeds itself in the lungs where hair like fibres are, these fibres are basically filters and the virus destroy some of the filters causing mucus discharge those with respiratory problems may find it difficult anyone who falls into the high risk category don't listen to these people you are not going to die, that depends on your will our professional services will not give up on you. I can remember in 2012 when our disabled atheletes showed the world they are super heros, it was there believe in themselves I with you vulnerable people, believe is the most powerful tool in conquering your fears x

What people are missing here is by acting totally irresponsibly and not keeping to the medical and government advice by saying “ it’s an over reaction, it’s not really serious and it’s ok to meet if you know someone and it’s an individual choice” blah bah blah is if you have the virus and are not showing symptoms so you must be ok train of thought and you carry on having unnecessary contact with others either sexually or socially, someone could die because of your behaviour and you wouldn’t even know it

The World Health Organisation got it all wrong from the start.

What makes you think they still haven’t?

Umm.... I guess you have been living under a rock the past week? Go look at the stats, or the reports from those in the hospitals as to what is going on.

People have died and will continue to do so because a minority of people continue to ignore the advice issued by the Government. Mr Johnson advised people not to go to places that encourage social gathering earlier this week. People chose to ignore him and now thankfully he has closed them down including my betting shop (and I for one agree with him completely) Thankfully I am still being paid as the Government are subsidising 80% of my wages for the next 12 weeks at least. Please stay safe people because this virus isn't going away anytime soon unless we all act responsively x
