couple, us we him her.

I don't think it's even a viable option.

Unless all sports are spectator free, any sport that requires people to get within 2 m of each other and contact sports.

I just can't see how it's possible.

It's not till the end of July so plenty time for them to cancel and athletes can always pull out now if they're concerned.

I like watching the Olympics so while we all know it's most likely to be pulled for now let's have a small glimmer of hope that life can still be normal and save the disappointment till late in the year. There's enough doom and gloom at the moment

I cannot believe that the Japanese are still considering the Olympics going ahead.

However, even more importantly I can't believe that Team GB haven't announced that they will not go. If countries back out then the Olympics won't be able to go ahead.

Canada has pulled out altogether.

Australia has told its teams to train now for 2021.

Some teams within the UK Olympic squad have been advised they won't be going to Japan this year.

The Japanese Olympic authority will decide in 4 weeks what they're going to do.

They cancelled the Eurovision song contest. That's far more important for me so I'll be mightily pc's off if they don't cancel the Olympics as well.

It really shouldn't take four weeks for them to decide though Genguy.

I would love to see the Olympics to go ahead on time and to be seen as a beacon of hope and a way of healing our international hurt. However, I think it far more likely that in 4 weeks the Olympic committee will have to finally agree to cancel the event having lost an enormous amount of respect for their prevarication.

It can't go ahead. They need to postpone it a year.

Action man can flip off the toilet seat and land in the deep end of the U-bend to replace diving.

Can it realistically be postponed for a year? It will clash with other sporting events already scheduled for next year. There are qualifying events for athletes to make the team, they aren’t just selected.

They won’t be training properly just now and training schedules are geared up for certain times of the year. Athletes can’t just peak whenever they want.

It's an event for the people of the world. True leadership would know and decide what is right for us all, which is not to hold it.

Postpone, alot of countries and athletes would be mourning lost loved ones. out of respect if anything.

Defiance shouldn't take presidence over health and safety.

Health and Safety often talked about by big wigs but hardly heeded by them.

For a few dollars more, eh.

Glad to see that today the IOC has applied some common sense and postponed the Olympics for one year.
