Anyone else eating more crap than they normally would?

I’ve been eating chicken supreme ready meals every day cos I bought 10 boxes of them on Tuesday in Morrisons. They’re my favourite ready meal of all time and didn’t know Morrison’s did them so almost peed myself with excitement when I saw them!

Plus been eating cookies and had a few dominoes deliveries as well. Also napping in the days and just generally being lazy and only been off work since Thursday!

It’s hard to be healthy now when fresh food is so scarce.

Doing a roast tomorrow and can normally get another two dinners off that so I have one for lunch and dinner!

Monday I’m gonna see if I can get some ingredients to do soups cos I had a soup maker for Xmas I’ve not used yet.

There seems to be more in the way of tinned chickpeas, lentils, kidney beans etc so you can make decent veggie stews/chilli maybe? If you have a slow cooker, that's also a good thing to use. Hope you get your roast dinner done nicely tomorrow Annie

If you do not buy it then you will not eat it. Easier said then done but all boils down to willpower.

Its not just about not eating crap. We're moving around less so need to reduce portion sizes of everything really.....

Trying to be good because I've recently put some weight on, but I have to admit it's not easy. And cannot really blame the virus or being at home most of the time, this weight has been creeping on the last couple of months

The majority will use it as an excuse fullstop.

They can't contemplate a smaller portion or actually going some exercise.

I've barely eaten for a week, barely slept either, less exercise = lower appetite and less sleep required.

Agree about reducing portion size buy just remember it's going to be very hard for some people to exercise at home. Disabled people, for example.

I think I know a thing or two about portion control and how to eat clean and exercise!

I’m just saying that being stuck in the house added to the worry that’s going on, adding to the fact I’ve been able to get hardly any fresh food I did go for non perishable stuff like frozen ready meals, biscuits and things like that. Also when I’m stressed I eat comfort food.

It’s gonna be hard to stay healthy.

I'm finding myself doing better than usual.

I've got enough food for set meals for 2 for a while but I've got it in my head I can't snack as we'll be down on meals.

Try eating cereal like porridge, weetabix or bran flakes. Also things like beans on toast. These are cheap and easy but also fill you up.

It is the opposite for me, I have home made vegetable and lentil soup, exercise, have my house cleaner. It's a wake up call for me

I deep cleaned the bathroom the other day but have stopped there... don’t want to peak too early!

We've started rationing what we eat, purely because we don't have confidence we will always be able to get food so the longer we can make the weekly shop last the better. Technically we're stockpiling, buying only the same as we used to, less really because much is out of stock but more than we intend to eat.

I know I've gone from doing 25,000-45,000 steps a day with heavy components slung on my shoulder to about 5,000 without which has to make a difference physically.

The former won't be restored until the standby instruction becomes reality and I'm required to get back on the job and assemble emergency hospital buildings etc.

However normally I cram ridiculous amounts of food into my system to keep up too which has obviously taken a dip, though it's something I'll have to monitor. My daughter is also permitted to continue attending school until easter at the very least so I think I'll have to reassemble my home gym (that was forced to make way for a "family room" around 8 or 9 years ago )

Why cos I bought 10 boxes of chicken supremes which were practically the only things left in the freezer so didn’t look like many people liked them anyway.

Virus or not, if I’d seen them I would have bought the same amount as I love them and I’ve not seen them in supermarkets for years.

Look mate, don't fucking judge me based on me buying some ready meals. I’m not the one clearing shelves of bread or fresh vegetables or toilet rolls.

I’ve never seen the fruit and veg in Aldi so well stocked as it was first thing Friday morning. But it depends, I think I got lucky

As soon as I started expecting any of this to happen I made sure I was on top of my usual bulk cooking and freezing meals. I won’t leave the house to shop for at least a full week and then plan to pick up whatever I can to stick in the slow cooker and make a big portion to freeze

I was in bad habits with buying cake and sweets at work so I should find it easy to cut back on calories now! Very little willpower required when you’re on lockdown, you can only eat what you buy during that trip
