Suffolk - East Anglia

"A butterfly flaps its' wings in the east, developing into hurricanes throughout the world. This virus is awful.

So many people are suffering and dying but scientists are working night and day to find a vaccine to prevent the spread.

How many people are going to protest about experiments on animals to find a cure now.

A great analogy guys. And yes, the animal lovers demonstrate when times are ok but now, when we need the science and experiments on animals to save human lives, how many are going to say it's wrong? We'll see.

Seems rather pointless testing on animals first when the cure is needed now. Surely it would be better to test on people who have the infection and are in need of treatment.

Perhaps you should try and understand the science. Would YOU like to be the first to try a new drug? Or would you prefer it to be tried on a rabbit? If you choose the former (that's the first option my friend) then you are brave.

More worryingly, I’ve already seen an anti vaxer post on the forum, with their decision based on hearsay

I’ve been reading up and if you want the links I have them but this virus looks to have been getting researched in wuhan for around 12 years

I have a few other links and stories relating to it about Chinese people being arrested in America trying to smuggle back genetic material to wuhan

We will never know the truth but I do believe this is man made and has either been released for a purpose or by accident

They've already tried testing on animals the new strain doesn't replicate in animals meaning they can't test the vaccine on animals so it requires willing human test subjects in which they are offering to pay to give them the live virus after receiving the trial vaccine.

Personally I think people in prison especially murderers and the like should be doing a public service by being test subjects instead of any animal when it's proven that drugs and other goods tested on them still doesn't produce the same results in human trials. So why bother testing on animals in the first place.

They should use prisoners who have committed crimes such as murder and other terrible offense's like terrorism it could be in exchange for an earlier release if they volunteer,

People still have the right to protest about animal testing . Animal testing is still going on regardless of this current situation

It’s not that special that it warrants anyone to change their opinions on animal testing

Plenty of people to create misdirection, page hits and money, from fake cures, dangerous treatments and conspiracy news, when it's totally feasible for this to have resulted from the awful wet markets selling the cultivated wild animals there.

Covid 19 is new, though of course there have been many other diseases in the same medical classificatiom type.

If it was a new bacterial infection, you'd not assume it wasn't new, because we'd had other ones before.

People who are hungry for page his will conflate multiple pieces of BS into new BS

Have you seen the genetic code for it? We share much of our genome with other primates, a bit lesx with birds etc but it doesn't mean we didn't evolve naturally.

I think there's some similarity to the recent new corona infections but you'd expect that. The rest is BS

Thought there was a story about dogs catching it from people.

As with any virus you can pick it up but if it can't replicate in the body it just dies and flushed out as with any toxins would. This is how new viruses are formed. They mutate within the host to be able to attack the host.

The human body holds a host of bacteria, viruses, fungus and parasites but they do us no harm until they mutate to do so.

Which is what happened with covid19. The coronaviruses have already proven the ability to mutate in human hosts this is now the 3rd zoonotic mutation.

In order for a virus to cause the host to be contagious it first has to be able to attack the cells and replicate and then cause sickness that allows the spread in which case is the coughing and sneezing.

Other coronaviruses attack specific species some of which most people eat regularly in the UK.

They do a lot of testing on computers and synthetic products.

Why try to justify traditional methods when they're mostly outdated?
