Great to see supermarkets providing elderly and vulnerable only shopping hours.

Just wondering how old is an old person?

For example, my dad is 65, does he qualify? There doesn't seem to be any guidelines that I'm aware of

True but 65 sounds ok to me it is an arbituary figure

Most places seem to be using the Govt definition which is over 70 but I'm sure any pensioner counts.

I used to think anyone over 40. When I was a teen I thought I'd be old and decrepid at 40.

I feel sorry for the elderly they always seem to get a bashing. Some people forget they'll be there one day and sooner than they think.

I'd say 55 if disabled. Or 60 if fairly fit.

The organisation I work most closely with says 75+ or 55+ with disabilities, for their purposes.

I'd say 70 but it might be best to check with supermarkets

It’s the vulnerable group which is harder to decide, guess I’d have to take my meds with me. That said I know someone in their 20s who fall into the vulnerable group and the virus could be deadly.

I agree. I'm a wheelchair user but no health conditions that make me more vulnerable and I don't feel like I'd fit the category. The Govt definition was disabled people plus those who get a free flu jab.
