Pandemic - Netflix

In the very foresighted docuseries "Pandemic" on Netflix, an immunologist claims to have a vaccine that will prevent all future pandemics. Started off needing 7 injections and now down to 2.

I just wonder if (assuming it isn't a scam) if it could be fast tracked through the FDA...

I know. But better than starting from scratch.

And once we are immunised it's done for good. No more vaccinations.

Just imagine what 10 000 vial would do in Northern Italy right now.

Pity they had to wait so long for a grant...

This was for the influenzae virus - not coronavirus

OK. I thought it covered everything but I think you're right. Thanks for correcting me

Huntingdon

I'm thinking of starting to watch this.

On another note I had read on the internet that a man was cured from coronavirus using the cure for Ebola.?? Not sure how genuine that is with so much fake news going around

The treatment is called Remdesivir, it's not a "cure" for Ebola but has been used as a treatment and apparently it doesn't work very well for Ebola (but it is now known to be fairly safe to use on humans).

Current experiments are suggesting it might be an effective treatment for covid-19, but that does not mean it is a miracle wonder cure.

In other words it might save some lives but probably won't work for all cases in all circumstances but investigation is ongoing.
