"With people losing there loved ones, jobs and possible houses how should the western world react to dealing with China after this virus is finally defeated. Let's face it it's not the first time that this nation has caused flu's and viruses in the past. I for one would like to cut all links though I know a lot of our manufacturing in this country depends on cheap components coming from that region. But surely we can produce various products again given work too people that have lost there jobs due to this and we can rebuild our once great nation." I will probably get the beef chowmein, satay chicken special and some egg fried rice

"I'll order Chinese food. The virus may have started in China, but that doesn't mean its their fault. Do we blame Europe for Spanish flu which killed 3% of the entire world's population in 1918? Africa for ebola? Mongolia for the bubonic plague? " Good point but Spanish flu happened when the worlds health organisations arnt as developed as they are now and this happened after countries were ravished by war, as for Ebola that by no means has caused chaos like Corona and the plague well that happened centuries ago. We live in a western society and when you see some of the social media films coming out of China I just for one think please let's keep these at arms length from now on

Vast majority have no effect on humans, but when one breaks though then a pandemic occurs. The area it emerges from could be anywhere in the world. The fact China is "different" to us has no bearing on why this happens. Do we ban contact with Africa because the eat different to us? South East Asia? India? South America? The only way to stop it happening again is to ban all contact from any other country which is no way to live. Once this is over and we get back to normality, I won't think twice about dealing with China.

It was so-called because Spain, as a neutral power during the war, was pretty much the only country still allowed to report news freely. Other European countries had to keep up their peoples' morale and so downplayed the seriousness and mortality whereas Spain reported the true numbers, leading people to (falsely) believe that it originated there. Little history lesson for ya there

"How about if it originated from an American military research establishment " The Satan Bug a 1965 film directed by John Sturges. There must be several countries doing this kind of research. The mind boggles as to what could be used or escape.
