It's a bit cruel to clean your toilet with a duck! Poor little duckling

Precisely what I've done. But NOT a ratio of 9-1, that's a bit dangerous, use at least 50-1.

You can use any old empty spray bottle from under the sink!

Works out at about £0.02p a bottle!!

Quote from the dental well being society of dentists...

"The dilution of regular Clorox bleach (no scents, perfumes added, and not concentrated) is made by adding a little less than 2 teaspoons of bleach to 1 cup (8ozs) of drinking water. Mix gently and swish a mouthful of the mixture for 30 seconds. Spit out the extra and avoid rinsing with water for 30 minutes."

So this is a ratio of 1:48 to make mouthwash.

You 1:9 ratio for hand cleaning being dangerous is a myth. 1:9 is roughly the usual ratio for sorry bleaches used all over the home. It will not harm anyone to spray one spray on their hands, wipe for a while, then rinse.

Scaremongering is ugly.

Hand sanitizer isn't as effective as simple hand washing ... read from government website.

Yet, essential if no running water .

Exactly. Just use fairy liquid and water and wash for 30 seconds.

Other brands are available.

Hand sanitiser is only efficient if the level of alcohol in the product is at 60% minimum.

However, for those people using vodka or other drinks as a base for home made sanitiser, the base problem is that most of these drinks have only about 40% alcohol content and are therefore poor substitutes, according to scientists reporting in various media outlets.

For the record hand sanitizer won't do jack shit. Except make shit loads of money for seller's hiking up the price.

The C virus is airborne and it's touching you face that's more of an issue as you can transfer it from eye droplet residue.

I haven't bought any hand sanitizer. Right now it's a con and buying the stuff won't stop you getting the virus.

I have had 2 sellers rip me off so far trying to get hold of isopropyl alchohol lots of fake sellers. I was going to use baby lotion with isopropyl as it only £1.49 for 500ml at bodycare

It's no good apparently, it needs to be at least 60% volume to be effective. Then it has to be better than nothing

Lichfield

World Health Organisation website gives recipe for an effective sanitiser - 70% by volume ethyl alcohol (The same as in your gin but nearly twice as strong) plus 1.4% glycerine to re-moisturise the skin. They also suggest 3% hydrogen peroxide but say this is to kill any fungal spores, not to kill viruses. Put the Duck back in the toilet
