Is anyone else worried about this? For anyone who doesn’t know, there was an incident in Russia where a lab worker died following an outbreak at the lab.

People are saying may be Covid 2.0

Time to stock up on toilet rolls and pasta lol

At the moment no, because it is contained accident in a lab. However this is Russia we are talking about they hid how much COVID had impacted the country, What's to say that haven't done the same this time.

Not even slightly concerned. If I die I die. I'm fed up of people trying to make me feel scared

London and elsewhere

Not scared.

When will people realise that governments use scare tactics to control and coerce people.

They did it during covid, they are doing it now.

Russia, plague, Iran all deflects from the insoluble problems in our own Society.

It's scapegoating.

Just live life to the full and don't get bogged down in bad news.

Current government advice is that there's no risk so...

Central

It's unlikely to be a major issue, based on the current data. I'd certainly not trust Putin to have the well-being of the world, as a central concern, nor to stick to international agreements and obligations, not to develop anything that's only safe. I assume that now international attention is on it, that continued scrutiny should help to contain the risks

Nothing like a good fear narrative to distract people from living a life freely and without worry. It's best to ignore it, since you can't control it. Anything coming down the tracks is coming and all your sleepless nights and anxiety won't change a thing.
