I think there is a small chance of contacting an STI full stop when engaging in sexual activity no matter what the act is. You can try with all the will in the world to protect yourself but it will never be 100% foolproof. The only way you could eradicate the chance would be to either never have sex again or only have sex with a long term partner who isnt having sex with others.

Been swinging 15 years mostly BB in which time we’ve contracted genital warts (HPV) once and Chlamydia once.

The warts were treated with a cream and Chlamyfia with 2 antibiotics tablets taken with lunch.

Between ourselves we’ve played with 3-400 people, we take PrEP so are tested every 3/4 months, always negative for last 8 years.

If you’re worried about getting an STD from a hand job don’t swing! but the chances of getting something this way are infinitesimally small.

I’ve looked into this at great length - no. It’s technically possible but the conditions need to be so precise it’s a less that 1% chance. What DOES spread HPV though is stuff like frotting or rubbing a woman’s genitalia with your cock. The genital area is transmissible skin, so any friction can spread it. I think there’s a tiny chance of it spreading if you touch your infected area and then immediately touch someone else, in like less than a second, or if as others have said you have literal open sores, but otherwise handjobs I think are the one safe activity
