"Getting old and careworn. Too much lifting heavy stuff at work and lots of rugby in my glory days. Sudden flare up in my ankles and feet. Anyone know any non medicine remedies? TIA" Lots of natural anti inflammatory remedies. Turmeric is a very popular one. Google should help. Onion, honey etc.

Naproxen best anti inflammatory for me but we're all different and you must protect stomach lining with one a day pill from doctors (omeprazole) Best advice I would give (even though it's sometimes hard to do) is a daily stretch routine and keep everything moving. Don't stop & seize up.

TIA" I understand people's reluctance to medication but it can be a real help. Maybe have a chat with your GP and see if any physio may help. BUPA or another private provider aren't that expensive for initial consultations. It always pays to have early intervention as it may not be just wear and tear or getting old. Good luck.

"I really feel for you. I've just had one knee replacement. Other knee and ankle, foot. Wrists hands all painful. Very little works to be honest, even Meds. Try to exercise gently to keep the joints moving." Forget Turmeric and all diet food nonsense, eat healthy and join a gym Good gentle workouts to begin with and protein shakes (they give all the nourishment needed). Increase workouts with weights I was down for a hip replacement and no longer required due to gym workouts and muscle building If you're ex rugby player you know what to do
