In a galaxy far far away

I have type 1 diabetes and a bladder problem which means I'm constantly going to the loo.

Even at night, I wake up every 2 hours for the loo and it takes ages to get back to sleep. It's been going on for ages now and it's starting to annoy me.

I'm thinking of getting some sleeping tablets from Amazon so I can finally have a good night sleep.

Any they any good, will they knock me out for the whole night? Are they safe to take every day?

Yeah I'm going to ring fist thing in the morning and try to get an appointment.

I've seen the doctor and diabetes nurses before and had various tests done. But no answer as to what the issue is. They just tell me that a weak bladder is common for those with diabetes.

I find my urinating can vary quite drastically depending on how good/bad my BG are. I've also taken time to "train" myself a little into knowing I don't have to go immediately when I get the feeling. I have type 2 diabetes diagnosed around 15 years ago. Mr.

Nooo

I take herbal pills you can get from a chemist. They work but not as instant as you’re led to believe. For example take at 7 if you go to sleep at 11.

Don’t buy pills online though just because it’s got the Amazon heading it might come from a dirty shed in China.

Go to a pharmacy. Stop drinking a few hours before bed too

It's illegal for medication such as sleeping tablets to be sold without a prescription in the UK.

You can always get fantastic information from pharmacists, who are trained physiologically and in medicine. Not the assistants.

Some of the older antihistamines are sold over the counter, as aiding sleep but they're not like the actual sleeping tablets prescribed.

I guess I was just trying to sort a problem without thinking it through properly, I'll ring the doctors in the morning.

Following this. Sorry if I'm hijacking your thread OP. I've got a few health issues and insomnia has reared its ugly head to add to them. Even when I do drop off, I'm awake again after an hour, sometimes 2 if I'm lucky x

That’s not 100% accurate. Herbal sleeping pills such as Nytol are freely available. Trust me I work nights and pick them and similar up from Lidl/Aldi where they’re cheaper.

I think you’re referring to medicated ones.
