I waited a few weeks I did have some personal time very slowly but I find the area a little tender I have stopped having cowboy /cowgirl position for now but maybe one day try again

Costa Blanca Spain...

Mine was nearly 30 years ago.

Very painful for the first few days and I couldn't drive for 3 weeks. Operating a clutch pedal was very difficult.

Sex was off for about a similar time and had to be careful at first. But within a couple of months it was back to normal.

Even now though I still have a slight numbness on the left side of my groin.

Had mine about 15 years ago. I was out of action for about three months. Any sort of exertion in the first month and a half caused real bad pain.

Once healed never had a problem, but as one poster said, there is some numbness around and below the incision site although I believe keyhole ops don't have the same drawbacks.

Any open surgery would need about 3 months to fully recover and adhere to any physiotherapy that's recommended post surgery.

Listening to your body is good too.

Wowzers. There I was hoping I would be back on my feet in a week or so. Must admit it is pretty painful at the moment so not really functioning but surfing on here is a good distraction

Well he did. Walk every hour to aid the recovery although I can’t even bend out of bed at the moment let alone walk every hour 🤪🤪

Had a para umbilical hernia , got emergency surgery in hospital for a week , my physio pal told me to walk as much as I could and work on my abdominal muscle , sex three weeks later off work 11 weeks

Nice 8inch scar up my belly

I was back at "work" in just over a week. Running a business I had little choice.

One of my employees would pick me up and I did little more than perch on my office chair for a couple of weeks. Getting up and down was the hard bit. You suddenly realise how many abdominal muscles you use just to stand up and sit down.

Inguinal hernia, open surgery repair out of action in the bedroom 3/4 weeks, off work 6 weeks for recovery followed by light duties at work for a further 2 weeks.

I'm literally recovering now, it was 3 weeks before my first wank and 6 weeks before full sex. My scar is 7 inches long in the groin area. It's still numb with pins and needles in the area. But getting easier. It's nearly 7 weeks.
