Manchester(ish).

Please go and see a Dr or other medical practitioner.

It's not practical to expect strangers on the Internet to diagnose you from a distance.

Good Luck.

Could possibly be your rotator cuff. Even though you can pick things up, which people commonly assume you can’t with a rotator cuff injury, it depends on which part of it that’s injured/irritated.

I’d suggest seeing an osteopath (they’re a mix of physio and chiro, do massage, acupuncture etc) and seeing what they say. I found mine on one of the online discount voucher places 8 years ago and best move I made! He says if an osteo tries to block book you sessions, don’t go with them as they’re just after your money. I’d also recommend some sports/deep tissue massage. I have a similar issue with my right arm, which gets exacerbated with sitting at a desk for work too. But the above has helped me along with pain relief and I’ve not needed to see my GP about it either.

Good luck with it!

111, they can get you an out of hours appointment, you can do an assessment online and at the very least speak to a nurse.

Remember that pharmacists are trained on the body and medicine. They are excellent people to speak with, to allay fears and possibly advise on the best short term relief, such as pain killers. A private physio appointment could be very useful too, whilst waiting for your GP. But pharmacists are available 7 days a week, without appointments

Pop to your local walk in centre and get seen there. If it's been lasting more than a few days and is having an impact on your day to day life, it needs to be seen as a matter of urgency to rule out anything serious and to prevent deterioration.

couple, us we him her.

Could be anything from a trapped nerve, tight neck/shoulder muscles, rain, tendonitis...... Jeeze the list goes on.

111 if you are really concerned, if your symptoms don't raise red flags with them then suggest contacting a private physiotherapist.

But a trained medical professional is far better placed to diagnose than us lot.

Good luck

I thought I had torn a muscle... it was so painful.

I went to a physio and they diagnosed I had a Frozen Shoulder... they provided me with some exercises to do which helped greatly

Please don't take or ask for medical advice on a social media platform.

Go to a walk in centre, pharmacist or your GP.

Good luck.

The only walk in center round me is A&E. The walk in center won't help you down hear now if you don't have an appointment. And if there full there full..

Do not go to an A & E with something like this, I would suggest a visit to an Osteopath probably much better for neck and back pain than your GP who will generally advise pain killers and not get to the cause, in the meantime has it got better.

Try to calm your brain down a bit, last year for a couple of months I was experiencing a numb left side of face and having really bad headaches. After all sort of tests and scans it turned out was my anxiety, the brain is very powerful thing. After doing lots of meditation and positive affirmations started to feel much better. I hope you get yourself sorted, and not being able to.see a doctor till February is a joke

Couod it be your pillows op? I had some similar pain to this and it was the way I was positioning my pillows. I sleep on a few, due to my asthma.

I've got a bamboo memory foam pillow now and it's much better, no pain or aching in my neck/shoulder.

Unlikely to be rotator cuff with a presentation of neck pain

Avoid anyone who would be inclined to do any manual therapy on a neck.

Increased muscle tension due to high stress states or prolonged neck positions can cause neural irritation that can present to similar pathologies such as (in this case) a trigeminal neuralgia.

Important to note that in most cases, symptoms originating from musculoskeletal structures are not permanent and can often resolve wjth thw correct advice and self management.

It is far better getting the correct information and being taught the cause of the symptoms and how to elevate and self management than it is for someone to do somwthing to you.

See a GP and a senior physio.

An NHS physio would be better as they are not incentivised by money to keep getting you back in.

Hope this gets sorted for you buddy. Don’t panic. The likelihood it’s something very straightforward.

🙏🏻☺️
