EDINBURGH

I was recently asked for proof of my STI Checkup, how Recent and Results O. Once I'd arrived at a MM Meeting! Never been directly asked that before.

NHS Lothian - it's a Recorded Voice message you dial up to - personal code and DoB needed. Not very Portable!

What are the differences round the UK.

QUICK ANSWERS - SEE EXAMPLE - MY STI CLINIC ARE INTERESTED IN RESULTS, see my example.

Me - Dial-up Recorded Msg. Reg.No. And DoB verification.

I use SHUK, it allows me to generate a link to my results to share. It shows the name I’m registered under the service as, the date of the test and each of the test done and their results.

SH24 They are prompt, it’s free service & you can specifically get checked for one condition or all. Reply is by text. I’ll try to add it on here,. Like any other test, it’s really only valid at test time and until your next liaison… at least it shows you care!

I just get a text message that says results are all clear, without specifying which tests were done . But changes would cost money and it's unlikely to be spent on improving the test result information message

We get a text...could literally be from anyone and is totally non specific for privacy and confidentiality purposes which is why we'd never accept something like that as proof of anything

We always insist on seeing an electronic link rather than screenshots etc. The Zults app is made for this purpose and the NHS is pushing it for good reason.

I might look at some of the above, the ones I've been using just give a generic all tests were clear, tho it's still not something I'd trust for someone not regular/one off's easy to have done one or two while tests come through negative if that's how you want to play

Interesting...hadn't heard of it until now. Will have a look to see if our provider supports it and get some info on who owns it and what they do with the data...

Ours is a txt too,no info on what you have been tested for. To get them in written form you need to have another booked appointment which are like gold dust

If you got to a NHS clinic results will come on NHS app. I would just be careful what data you share (don't share DOB / NHS number)

The Zults app looks good but this answer in the FAQ is a bit disappointing:

Which providers are compatible with Zults?

Zults connects with a growing number of labs, clinics, and telehealth platforms. If your provider isn’t listed, you can request integration, and the Zults team will reach out to them to explore a possible integration.

What's the point of an FAQ that doesn't answer the question

They dont connect with our provider yet but it's an interesting platform. We've requested integration but it seems very London focused which isn't surprising as the founders are down south.

It's just a shame you can't see if your provider is listed without the rigmarole of installing the app, registering etc. only to find they are not listed.

Has anyone got the app that can tell me if iCash are listed?

Absolutely agree. I can't see iCash but it may come under the NHS umbrella. It just asks for a link to your SH account. Sadly GLISH have just moved over to postal tests and you dont set up an account. Doesn't link to the NHS app either currently.

They work with SHL and SH:UK which do free tests at the moment. It also works with Luud Health which is a private provider and I think Test.me is also connected. And they’ve just launched in the Netherlands according to their Instagram. I assume other providers will be added in time.

And if you get a positive result back. Do you notify everyone you've had sex with since your last result? Asking for a friend.

Yes, that's the decent thing to do, I know I'd appreciate a 'heads up' if someone I'd played with had had issues with test results, to get any potential problems sorted ASAP

The Zults app have a free sms service where they let you send anonymous text messages asking people to be tested. Makes it a bit easier to let people know when you can do it anonymously I think.

I think that if you are old enough to be meeting people to have sex then you should be responsible and mature enough to actually contact people without hiding and telling them.

It's basic respect.
