"Has anyone had this on the NHS yet " According to an article in The Guardian today, it is being offered first to ‘high risk’ individuals across England who will be contacted in the coming weeks and the vaccination program rolls out from August 1st.

"Yes as above, if you’re not a Gay man etc then it’s a no. Trixie " Also, previous clinical studies of the efficacy of this vaccine range between 27% and 40% so it’s not a particularly effective vaccine

I’m wondering whether you effectively have the vaccine already if you had the Hep B vaccine, or are they different enough that you need both jabs?

"Yes as above, if you’re not a Gay man etc then it’s a no. Trixie " It could include men who have sex with men, I'm assuming, who aren't gay ,- if their assessed risk is high. The benefits of using clinics, where staff know you, are good - they can assess before people have arrived etc

"Yes as above, if you’re not a Gay man etc then it’s a no. Trixie " It’s primarily directed at Bi and Gay men but they will assess individual cases. I’m pretty sure as a woman swinger who has casual sex with Bi men (who are also swingers) you could persuade them you should get the shot. If the argue tell them you never use condoms 🤣

"Yes as above, if you’re not a Gay man etc then it’s a no. Trixie surly that's discrimination " It’s targeted and strategic intervention, based on available data. It’s not a ‘no’ if you’re not gay; that person has misunderstood and consequently misrepresented how individuals will be prioritised.

"I’m wondering whether you effectively have the vaccine already if you had the Hep B vaccine, or are they different enough that you need both jabs? " They're different, I got the Hep B vax a couple years ago. Also the M Pox vax, and had to push surprisingly hard to get a HPV vax. I'd be very surprised if anything that targets or prevents viruses is also effective against bacterial infections - although I'm not a scientist or anything, just a bit nerdy 🤓

Making you more likely to get it (3 in 4 chance, if the other person has it)

This vaccine is another tool to help to reduce infections as well as costs of treating them

If it is widely used it will help reduce the number of infections and help with herd immunity.

"I've now had my 1st shot, at my routine visit. I think it's targeted at Zglbt but there's been discussion of it having some flexibility. It's great for everyone, to reduce potential infection levels DoxyOep is another tool they're using to help Yes was also given doxypep - helps reduce syphillis after any encounter … all good to keep infections down and I’d say essential for those that play … responsible for yourself and your partners! Thanks to all the support this

"Definitely something that ALL sexually active people who have multiple partners (gay or straight) should be asking about. There is only ONE antibiotic left that is effective against gonorrhoea - Ceftriaxone. When that fails - and it will, like all antibiotics do over time - there will be nothing left to treat it. Gonorrhoea clears itself up, but only after 6 to 9 months. I’m sure everyone can agree that nobody who is sexually active will be abstaining from sex for that length of time, so just think of the sh*t show that scenario will present. 🤢🤮" since when did it cure itself?

It doesn’t. Symptoms might disappear temporarily but without dual therapy antibiotics it will remain active and transmissible
