Had mine done back in the 90's for medical reasons, was knocked out for it.

Lot's of stitches and made my peen very sensitive for a few weeks which is extremely uncomfortable with stitches in.

Even getting a semi felt like my knob was being ripped off at the helmet.

Stitches got extremely itchy and quite painful.

Once I was able to bathe I did so regularly it helped soften the stitches.

That said it was well worth it in the long run.

I asked a doctor friend of ours what he recommended, he just said it was a matter of personal preference and it made no difference to him as ‘it was no skin off his nose’ !

Recently had mine done for medical reasons. Went private as I have health insurance through work. Knocked out and stitches was all I was offered. Have to agree with a previous poster that during healing period night tome erections were sore and initially scary as felt like it was all going to come undone. 6 weeks post op and everything back in working order and much better than the tight foreskin. Had mine done 6 years ago under general anesthetic due to extremely painful phimosis.

Recovery for me felt more like 3 months than the 6 weeks they said. Used to wear boxers and sleep nude but found anything rubbing too sensitive (painful not pleasurable) so switched entirely to briefs to minimise any accidental rubbing and no longer sleep commando. Did t have a cannula but a number of injections around my penis to numb it. He did put a screen up so I couldn't see but moved it out of the way so I could see what it looked like before it was bandaged up.

Think people get knocked out as for some men it's seen as big thing. I had a frenuplasty ok the NHS in 2009 and was put under but wasn't given any other option.

NHS (was on waiting list for 8months April to January).

I'm pretty squeamish - general anaesthetic, wake me up when it's done, then I'll take a nap.

Feels quite sore & sensitive & irritated but less than earlier.

Taking regular pics to monitor progress.

Stitches underside where frenulumn used to be felt sharp up until yesterdays shower, which has been awkward for sleeping & moving around in daytime because any clothing rub/catch could pull on protruding end of stitches.

Stitches hurt with even slight erection/swell, wakes me up at night.

Long slow breathing & look at camera photo of stitches in cock usually quick at reducing any mild erection. When that doesn't work I think of politics & geopolitics.

Feel unsure if it's healing the way it should - wish there medical check service to monitor recovery (eg send photos, get a thumbs up or called in).

Wow had mine done about 6 months ago on the private through nhs,was simple knock me out process.

I may be fortunate but I didn’t have any real pain but did experience complications with a couple of stitches not dissolving. This caused infection but with cream it sorted itself out, eventually pulled stitches out myself.

I do think you may be over thinking the recovery though with the photos etc, the more you fiddle with it the longer it’s gonna take…

Uncut means your foreskin re covers your glans on the outstroke potentially reducing the amount of friction.

Can't say I'ts led to any dryness in my experience and a ladies hormones depending where she is in her monthly cycle has a bigger factor.

I get and understand a lot has to do with hormones, arousal and other factors. The vagina is a muscle and skin contact between its walls and the cock inside happens both on entry and removal.The foreskin covering the head on outstroke still leaves skin on skin contact. Do u think the vagina knows the difference between a cut/uncut cock? So why isn't friction caused by the entry stroke when the foreskin rolls back? The head is exposed there and creates the same amount of friction as the outward.

I just don't understand how exposed glands from being cut causes dryness like stated. What evidence is there?
