Just wondered if anyone had caught any infections from receiving oral sex, what are the odds?

GONE/TIMEOUT (No DMs please)

Odds are low but definitely still possible.

Best advice is to check out the NHS website for factual information.

wonderland.

According to the doctor at my recent check up.. it's possible but much harder for a guy that only has sex with women.. the woman is at much more risk.

Although apparently oral gonorrhea is on the rise across the country

Stay safe and get regular tests is the option

Nobody can give you the odds except to say if the person you're with is 100% clear the odds are low to zero and if the person you're with isn't then the odds are waaay higher.

A few years ago a couple friend of mine played with another couple and ended up with a dose. She vaginally and him orally.

Condoms were used for penetration but not for oral.

You just never know.

many years ago prob around 2012 I got chlamydia off two women I met for a weekend meet ... no biggie they were apologetic after as they message me a few days later to say they had some tests back from pervious and got caught out so just giving me a heads up ... it was all sorted out within a couple of weeks at dean street ..

these things happen / can happen when you have sex with multiple people ... nothing to get bent out of shape over

being an adult about it and dealing with it sensibly is the way

Twice, though that’s not bad seeing as I’ve been sexually actively for decades, lol.

Oral chlamydia (2019) & oral gonorrhoea (2022).

The first I realised within about a weak (awful throat pain). Second was picked up on my routine STD check. Got some shots and it cleared fast.

Sooo grateful for regular testing.

The only way to avoid this risk is condoms for oral & dams for rimming, but few people will he bothered.

Testing is the next best thing.

couple, us we him her.

Unless you don't play with anyone chances are you are open to catching/giving.

Let's be honest you could go out on a regular night out and have a one nighter with a random and catch something.

The only real way of guaranteed not catching anything is celibacy.

If it's so worrying to people, you have to ask if this is the correct lifestyle for you to join?

I can tell for certain that you won’t get HIV that way. Rest assured there are other diseases like Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Herpes Syphilis, HPV. Hep A is more for people doing rimming. Risk is more for fellatio than for cunnilingus especially when someone in your mouth. None the less, there are many parameters that have to fall in place for someone to acquire infection - your nascent immunity, presence of other STI, type of oral sex, other persons infection status, their infection load. Like someone said, if you have symptoms and you had an exposure, surest way is to get tested.

Last time I looked into this I couldn’t see anything anywhere with any stats.

it’s possible to catch all kinds of things through kissing and oral sex, not just STI

But I was reading how due to high levels of immigration in the UK, TB is now a big deal and will be approaching epidemic levels soon as in the UK they stopped doing the vaccination, and people coming in From countries were TB is rife. Things like TB are spread simply by being in close proximity to someone

Was this on a content shoot?

I refused to perform with one lady years ago because her cert looked like a dodgy photocopy.

My suspicions were correct and she had all sorts and was still trying to make a living performing

Statistically lower than penetration ,but definitely on the rise according to my local sti clinic. Regular testing is essential if you prefer bare , or can't wear condoms for medical reasons. Oral sex using condoms for me wasn't a very pleasurable experience. Only tried it once.

Certain sti,s can be cleared with treatment but can stay in your system for life, especially sexually transmitted herpes.

It wasn’t a content shoot but was after. The two girls were babes on bed live streamers for one the TVx platforms

They were very apologetic about it but those things happen periodically so it was no biggie tbh I just appreciated the fast honesty a day or two later from them

Yeah there was a lot of dodgy certs back then from some people. It’s why we all liked dean street as could double check it to fashion

"Always use a condom. Simples. "

Condoms won’t save you from all .

Kissing / toys / handling / some sti are highly infectious just from skin touching skin not involving sex.

Condoms are useful for some things personally I always find regular consistent testing / prep / boosters and keep on top of it all

Many people don’t like condoms be it oral or sex there is nothing wrong in that we are adults and manage our risks in our parameters much like people drinking heavy or smoking / substances / bad foodies leading to poor health issues etc

People just need to be grown up and not embarrassed by it all
