I am brochiectacic which means I catch anything that's going. In 1995 I jumped on a plane and woke up on life support three days later. Got slammed with pneumonia. That developed into CFS / ME and took me five years to recover. It is very similar to long covid. I know one person who had covid in the first wave and took 18 months to pass as her organs slowly failed.

Took me nearly 2 years to get over glandular fever in my late 20s, weight loss and fatigue. First dose of covid,unable to walk more than a few feet for 2 months, pretty much fully better after 8 months apart from a slightly reduced lung capacity.

We had covid (we believe) in February 2020. Every couple of weeks we have 24 hours of flu-like symptoms which disappear as quickly as they came. We both also have new eye conditions (mine needed surgery and will again).

Of course we can't provide evidence that we had covid in the first place or that our subsequent symptoms are long covid but we think it's a possibility

I got covid in January 2020 was ill with it for 5 weeks. I have not fully recovered from it, I have long covid now.

I used to be fit and healthy and now I am fatigued and tired all the time. A lot of other issues I never had before, tinnitus, aches and pains, insomnia, vertigo, memory loss and the worst thing being breathless even climbing the stairs.

I am keeping positive and try and keep active everyday.

I would not wish this on anyone it's a horrible thing to have.

Yes ive got long covid, had 2 large clots on the lung, and nearly 3 years with no smell or taste

I know people who had no vaccines and are certainly not fine.

Sone who were hospitalised and very sick.

A few who died.

You seem such a lovely caring person.

I started off pretty fit as an ex world ranked pro dancer and fitness teacher though retired.

Now I have long covid, easily tired and cannot confidently rin for a train.

I have bouts of insomnia that I've never had before and a strange cough that comes and goes.

I’ve recently gone back to work after nearly 4 months off work,I’m still waiting to find out if it is Long Covid I have of just chronic fatigue syndrome.

Due to previous onset illnesses the diagnosis period is taking forever as it was first thought to be an Anaemia related issue.

Whatever it is is very unpleasant and despite many better days now, I’m not able to reach the goals I used to at work so easily.

Good days are outnumbering bad again so I’m optimistic

If you need help with regards to work-life balance/strategies, ask your GP to refer you to OT. Alternatively, and probably quicker, refer self to your work's OH department.

I had covid 5 times now (currently suffering through the fifth) the first time nearly killed me, the others were all post vaccine and were much more manageable.

Since having it that first time I have been drained, physically and mentally, my immune system has been awful, I have struggled to focus.

It's been pretty crap to be honest.

Long covid is either a) an excuse for people to drag out feeling a bit poorly for some attention b) a lazy collective term for any random symptoms now or in reality c) long term damage from the you know what.

Also the fact that people who still now keep getting the you know what, and still 'test positive' (which is meaningless), it's just this years winter bug ffs!

People are so brainwashed still its unreal.

If long covid doesn't exist, covid-19 didn't exist. If Covid-19 doesn't exist, people didn't die because of it. They did.

Covid-19 exists as it is part of the Sars coronavirus group of virus's that's been around for decades.

The only reason vaccines were so effective and able to be produced so quickly was coronavirus's were already being researched.
