Horrible horrible thing and wishing him a speedy recovery. (It’s Lebron James’s son by the way). For context he suffered cardiac arrest during a basketball practice. But he’s ok and doing better.

Sad to see people attributing this to the vaccine…

Oh i saw he had a heart attack and wondered why it was in here. Hadnt seen anything about linking to vaccines but... Equally if its likely or not to have come from that. I think people would like to know. I can only imagine the usual click bait though. Hope the young man recovers.

It might not be covid related at all. People of every level of fitness have had sudden unexpected heart attacks since there were first people. Many heart problems are totally invisible until suddenly they are not, and strenuous sports can easily be a trigger.

However if there is any connection at all with covid, it will because he's had covid. The disease that causes vast amounts of hidden internal damage to the vascular system. The disease that is at least one million times more likely to cause heart problems than being vaccinated against covid. The disease that is still killing thousands of people every day. The disease that is still the major reason why health systems all over the world are under increasing pressure.

Firstly, wishing him a rwcovery....secondly and join the point scoring fray. Surely nobody but possibly his medical team know whether it was from normal life, from covid or from the vaccine.. Or perhaps other combinations of facts. So to espouse knowledge that nobody has is... Just making stuff up to suit your agendas.. Whatever they may be.

There's proven links with both covid and the vaccine regarding heart issues so why must it be because he will have had covid?

That thinking is just as bad as saying "hes vax'd, it was defo that!"

How about you go all the way back before there were so called McDonald's burgers? Or before there was so called television? Or before there was so called motor cars? We can all play the "go back before" game. The real facts of the matter are that the covid vaccines have had more detailed study and more gathering of safety data than pretty well any other product created in the history of man. It is established fact of how likely any side effects will be caused by the covid vaccines, and established fact of what effects the covid disease has upon the vascular system.

- Covid puts stress on the heart and other bodily systems, even if little external symptoms are seen. Fact.

- Covid can be a crippling disease, a killing disease, for anyone who is at risk. Fact.

- Multiple infections by covid will stress the body more each time, eventually weakening people who were originally healthy. Fact.

- Multiple infections by covid will stress the body's immune system, weakening it more every time. Multiple studies have now shown that some "long covid" sufferers have weaker immune systems than AIDS sufferers. It is not yet known if this will happen to every person infected with covid. It is not yet known if people can recover from this effect (AIDS kills at 5 to 7 years after HIV infection, we are currently only at 3 and a half years since first covid infections). Fact.

- Pretty well everyone on the planet who has not been shielding and masking continuously for the past three years has now been exposed to covid multiple times. This means you, and you, and you, and you. And me, but less so (see shielding and masking). Fact.

- Covid vaccines can, in rare cases, cause temporary illness. And in a vanishingly small percentage of cases death can occur soon after vaccination for covid. For reference a far greater percentage of people can die soon after drinking beer, soon after eating a burger, soon after sex, soon after exercise, soon after sneezing. And more people are killed by lightning every year. Fact.

But people that don't want to know are not going to read anything I've just written, they are just going to flat out deny the truth that actually, deep in their hearts, they know but are too shit scared of to even think about.

TLDR: Remember that Polly has been proven right about every single thing she has said since the start of the covid pandemic. Covid deniers have been proven wrong about every single thing they have said. Fact.

According to all published statistical data, there has been no change in the number of athletes (or children) suffering heart attacks. These events have always happened and it's been a fairly consistent occurrence since records started.

Look up how many thousands died before the last few years. Sudden death has always been a thing, I haven’t seen anything to indicate covid vaccines have driven an increase.

Just off the top of my head:-

Jo Lindner; famous athlete who died last month at just 30 said the vax was killing him.

Doug Brignole, famous bodybuilder who said himself:

"I have enough confidence in the vaccine, based on my research, to get it done," Brignole replied to a Facebook user who questioned his decision. "Those of you who think the vaccine kills people can use me as a test. If I die, you were right. If I don't die, and have no ill effects, you were wrong, and should admit it – at least to yourselves."

...He died days later.

Just the other day: Anthony Smith the MMA fighter said His Mum Died Immediately After Getting Injected and is warning others.

It's them that's saying it. Not me. - I just do them the courtesy of accepting what they said.

Very possibly... There is risk in anything. My comment was purely addressing the inaccurate statement that "the vaccine" does not / has not led to cardiac problems... Because the facts are... That it does and has for some people. Where that sits in the risk profile of a fit otherwise healthy young athlete only his medical team will know. Anything else is guess work.

I think people should do their own honest research. They would soon discover who is telling the truth, because I don't care if people don't take responsibility for their own heath/lives or whether people want to lie and do everything they can to defend their 'opinions' - regardless of what reality is actually telling them.

For example, people can watch Joe Lindner's interview online where he claims the vax was destroying him.

'Joesthetics Found Heavy Metals In His Blood' will turn up the video.

Again... I don't really care. It's too late anyway. Good luck.

Jo Lindner never said that, many anti-vaxxers claim it though

The fact that he had RMD, was using TRT and had a recent hernia operation all seem to have passed the YouTube gurus by. He died from an aneurysm

Would you like me to debunk the others for you or do you want to have a go at doing your own "research"?"

He actually talked about it on the bradley martyn broadcast.

Anyone with a working braincell can... Oh never mind! Lol.

"People have heart problems, and people die. If I die tomorrow I can guarantee you that it is not because I'm writing on a FAB message board while having a shit, but some of you lot could probably argue for a correlation "

Although funnily enough there is not only a correlation of dying with having a shit, but also a causation. Something that I first heard from a pathologist in a public lecture, many years ago.

Apparently where people have got weaknesses in arterial walls (aorta, or in the brain) the effort of straining while having a difficult shit can be the final straw that results in the artery wall giving way and causing death through an aneurysm.

He didn't say whether typing on fab while having the shit could be an additional factor, but that was possibly only because mobile phones and fab hadn't been invented back then. These days I would suggest that there could be a perfectly plausible mechanism where perusing fab while on the toilet could be just the final factor in pushing up the blood pressure, particularly if reading virus or politics forums, or looking at hot pics.

"Horrible horrible thing and wishing him a speedy recovery. (It’s Lebron James’s son by the way). For context he suffered cardiac arrest during a basketball practice. But he’s ok and doing better.

Sad to see people attributing this to the vaccine…

Some people are not made for serious exercise and these days it's the ultra fit keeling over.

It’s really scary. I wonder if the exercise puts strain on the heart but I don’t know science well enough"

It does. Vigorous exercise = heart beats faster, we all know this is a direct causative effect. A heart attack basically can happen to anybody if the heart has to beat so fast that the four chambers cannot keep in synchronization with each other. The heart then stops working as a pump and just twitches randomly. Very similar to what happens on an internal combustion engine if the timing belt breaks and the pistons are no longer synchronised.

That said, the efficiency of the heart and circulatory system is improved by regular exercise, so that the heart rate of a fit athlete can be normally much lower than that of an unfit person. However during events top athletes will stretch themselves to and beyond their limits, putting more stress on their heart than any normal person would.

Regular gentle exercise = good for you. Regular stretching your system to and beyond endurance limits = pretty damn dangerous.

NSAIDs increase the risk of heart attack and stroke.

Perhaps these athletes had been taking them because they are often injured.

"It's nothing to do with the vaccine

How do you even know that?

Because heart problems were a thing before he was vaccinated with a vaccine that doesn't cause heart problems "

By that reasoning covid didn't cause any deaths because coronaviruses existed before this one

The vaccine defo can cause heart problems. Saying otherwise is an outright lie. There's been a lot of cases.

I'm in no way saying the vaccine caused this but the whole safe and effective spiel grew old ages ago.

What about athletes who have dropped to the deck before the vaccine.

Could it possibly have anything to do with family history, undiagnosed medical issues, medication prescribed or otherwise, co morbidities etc etc etc.

Be interesting to see what a PM shows.

So because people died of heart issues before the vaccines it can't possibly be the vaccines? There's proven links to heart issues from at least one of the jabs.

However I'll be sure to pass these facts on to my very sick friend who had blood clots and heart issues after his vaccine, who now can't walk up a flight of stairs unaided despite being in better shape than likely 99.9% of the world beforehand. I'm sure he'll take great comfort in the knowledge that despite going from elite fitness level to the conditioning of an 80 year-old, It couldn't possibly be vaccine related.

Not sure anyone has ever suggested some young athletes didbt have cardiac issues before the vaccines for covid were administered. The point, and surely you are able to see it. Is that the vaccines have been known to cause side effects of cardiac issues. Some catastrophucally so. And some deaths have been attributed to this bu PM.

In this young mans case nobody knows other than his medical team. To assert it cant possibly be due to a vaccine he received is clearly incorrect. It may not be very likely. But its not impossible.

"It might not be covid related at all.

Can you show us any evidence whatsoever of what you have just said because it’s seem all these sudden deaths, heart attacks etc must be caused by ANYTHING but the so called “vaccine”

"Cardiac arrest is the leading medical cause of death for college athletes in the US, according to research from long before the Covid era". The independent quoting a 2011 study by Washington university.

Why does it always have to be the US and how about you go all the way back to before there were so called vaccines?? "

How far do you want to go? Edward Jenner started the cowpox/smallpox vaccine in 1796. The Chinese were practising variolation (a form of vaccination) from around 1000AD. I'm afraid the Taoist monks who practised in 1000AD did not keep written records, let alone publish online so alas, you'll have to search for this truth yourself.

Reciprocating i.c. engines have pistons permanently in synch. with one another via the crankshaft, each piston being 'attached' by a corresponding connecting rod, which incidentally, has that much joked about feature, the 'big-end', as an integral part....

Pistons can only be out of synch together if the crankshaft breaks or is otherwise destroyed.

A rare failure these days.

Should the timing belt, or chain fail, then the valves atop each working cylinder (containing... yes, a piston....!) would cease to operate, i.e... open and close in relation to our reciprocating piston, which then wreaks virtual total destruction to the cylinder heads housing these critically-timed fuel and exhaust valves.

SO.... Make sure that consumable belt you have on most i.c. powered vehicles, is seen to.... as required.

(Don't get me going on 'push rods'....(?!) X

""It does. Vigorous exercise = heart beats faster, we all know this is a direct causative effect. A heart attack basically can happen to anybody if the heart has to beat so fast that the four chambers cannot keep in synchronization with each other. The heart then stops working as a pump and just twitches randomly. Very similar to what happens on an internal combustion engine if the timing belt breaks and the pistons are no longer synchronised"

Please can you point to the crankshaft and timing belt in *this* diagram of the heart? I think I need to update my teaching materials.

Coincidentally they have all had the jab

And your evidence? Let alone who are "they"?

They are the thousands of athletes who have collapsed or died within the last 3 years you really should look it up rather than try and poo poo any opinion that goes against the mainstream agenda "

Or you could look at the data pre-Covid as well, which will suggest that numbers of athletes suffering cardiac issues has remained basically constant.

Because he was one of the sports stars who almost died from a cardiac event, but way before the COVID pandemic/vaccines, yet if you listen to the conspiracy crew, such things are a completely new occurrence and can only be explained by COVID vaccines.

Charities such as Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) have been warning about undiagnosed heart defects in young athletes for a very long time and in some countries, such as Italy, you can only continue to train as an elite young athlete if you have regular cardiac screening, which isn't the case in the UK. This again pre dates the pandemic by a substantial amount of time. But these inconvenient facts are ignored by those with their truthy agenda.

What I read was.. He had a cardiac arrest. Went to hospital.

Elon Musk put out an anti vax message saying that 2nd shot of the vaccine by Pfizer one of the side effects is a cardiac arrest. Since twitter fact checkers have taken the Elon Musk tweet down. We dont know if Broony James has been vaccinated. He is now out of hospital and his millionaire father taking care of him.

If you want to know facts read CDC they do studies.

Did you see the YT vid by John Cambell 2 days ago. He reads from a medical textbook that states that myocarditis can cause sudden death in young athletes.

This during a video where he reads from a new paper in a medical journal which found that 1 in 35 people they checked who had had the vaccine, had markers for Myocarditis.

You can't state it is causal, but these figures are exceptionally high.

So, who is sure enough to rule out the vaccine for this young athlete?

If you can, then I wish I were as secure in my knowledge and trust of those who educate us.

Why do you think this?

I have only ever seen him read from government figures or peer reviewed papers.

Well, except when he was espousing the government guidelines for vaccination.

He subsequently held up his hands and apologised when he realised that none of the promises were true.

In this case he is quoting an independent(of pharma companies) Swiss research group's paper.

If you think he is a loon, does that mean that anything he quotes is wrong?

I think saucepan bangers is a bit harsh. Those who lost apparently healthy family members to Covid often feel that you are a denying its existence if you point to other factors during the pandemic.

I completely understand an emotional response to an apparently cold assessment of facts.

But as we are so far past it, and statistics are showing that the p4ndemic had multi factorial influences, it would be nice if those people could objectively look at these and gain more knowledge.

I have friends who get very defensive about this due to still feeling bitter and mourning their loss.

This fora has lots of evidence of loss and mourning and I can only send my condolences

An example, from the Full Fact website, entitled "YouTuber misinterprets Covid-19 vaccine evidence on children from Singapore", 12 AUGUST 2022 - Google it because we aren't allowed to link to it.

John Campbell who is NOT a medical doctor, he was a nurse educator and honestly, knowing some of the knowledge gaps of nurses I've encountered, means next to fuck all in the context of a novel virus.

He started out making reasonable assessments of data but once his YouTube viewing figures started dropping, probably because so many people migrated to listen to conspiracy theory loons, he realised the best way to beat them, was to join them. His assessments are inaccurate, often plain false and play into debunked conspiracy theory nonsense. He's a loon.

Conspiracy theories cost my Grandfather his life and I will not pander to the wazzocks who peddle shite.

There is a minute increased risk of myocarditis and blood clots in a very small subset of susceptible people, this is well evidenced. This does not mean people are dropping dead left, right and centre from heart and circulatory issues from COVID vaccines. Having COVID itself is a massive increased risk for circulatory problems, from what we now know, the negative effects of COVID on the body are principally caused by cardiovascular impacts. This makes perfect sense due to the receptor for the virus being the ACE2 receptor.

Conspiracy theories and those who peddle them are eejits and morons and complete and utter dicks.

I almost lost a good friend to a vaccine related side effect, are we playing top trumps now?

Like I said earlier, those who suffered loss during this pandemic seem to think they're right purely because they've suffered loss.

Is the number of people who have suffered heart related issues after their vaccine zero? I know for a fact it isn't.

Its all well and good saying its a small risk when you aren't the one who actually suffers.

I think you are attributing motivation that you don't have any knowledge of.

To accuse someone of spreading misinformation for viewing figures is a very serious, and probably libelous, accusation.

I see your anger but nurses don't know any less than Doctors or researchers when it comes to novel viruses.

I will go and Google that title.

There's risk from every medical intervention. Not one medical intervention is risk free and expecting it to be so is daft. We have a work colleague who required brain surgery recently, he wasn't told it was a slim chance of serious problems after blah blah and he's currently unable to communicate, paralysed apart from his facial muscles/eyes and probably permanently disabled. But the brain thing would have killed him slowly so he took the tiny risk. And lost.

Taking an ibuprofen carries risk. The first time I took it after my appendix op, I had an allergic reaction.

"I think you are attributing motivation that you don't have any knowledge of.

To accuse someone of spreading misinformation for viewing figures is a very serious, and probably libelous, accusation.

I see your anger but nurses don't know any less than Doctors or researchers when it comes to novel viruses.

I will go and Google that title. "

I am not the only one accusing Campbell, he is being accused widely by the medical professionals. I'm happy to sit by that assessment.

It's the play by play response in these situations. Don't dispute the facts, first call him a conspiracy theorist/loon/tin foil hat wearer. Then attack his credentials. "An example, from the Full Fact website, entitled "YouTuber misinterprets Covid-19 vaccine evidence on children from Singapore", 12 AUGUST 2022 - Google it because we aren't allowed to link to it.

To back that up

https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/share/VM75HNCTUKGTJRBEJFYY?target=10.1002/ejhf.2669

"COVID-19 vaccines are overall very safe. There is a low but consistent, tangible rate of post-vaccination myocarditis and/or pericarditis identified in several national and international level studies. Whilst there can be no room for complacency, fortunately, the majority are mild and not associated with hospitalization or severe complications. This risk has to be balanced against the much greater risk of death, pulmonary, vascular, and cardiac complications by the SARS-CoV-2 virus itself."

Have read the article and agree that he does make certain comparisons that are leaps of logic and therefore not a true reflection of that study.

But to state he lies for money...when the health professionals told us masks work, that the vaccine stops infection, etc.etc...that is just wrong. They also didn't mention the myocarditis and its effects on the young.

It's a shame that this has angered you so much and I feel for you, but there may be a lot more young men alive if they hadn't taken the vaccine.

We will never "know", and ones perspective will colour that judgement.

Myocarditis and clot risks are listed on the very patient info leaflets given with the vaccines, so to say it's not mentioned is utter codswallop too. Plenty of peer reviewed info out there now on the risks, mentioned on the NHS sites etc.

Yeahs it's amusing the someone on youtube is held to a higher standard than our elected leaders. Safe and effective, stops transmission, get your jab to save granny, get your jab and the virus stops with you. All lies spouted by those supposedly in charge and following the science. All swept under the carpet and most now claim these were never said.

I read it afterwards to be fair, at that point I was convinced it was the right thing to do. I didn't want to potentially pass the virus to elderly relatives and some neighbours I was doing a lot of running around for. I still got covid before and after my jabs and both were pretty much exactly the same severity.

Knowing what I know now I wouldn't have wasted 2 perfectly good mornings to go get jabbed.

Coincidentally they have all had the jab

And your evidence? Let alone who are "they"?

They are the thousands of athletes who have collapsed or died within the last 3 years you really should look it up rather than try and poo poo any opinion that goes against the mainstream agenda

Or you could look at the data pre-Covid as well, which will suggest that numbers of athletes suffering cardiac issues has remained basically constant.

I'm sure Fabrice Muamba would have a thing or two to say to the conspiracy theorists, eh?

Why?

Not sure i see why its even revenant. Nobody is denying young sportsmen rarely had cardiac events. However are you saying that the covid vaccines have not been recorded by pm as causing the death by cardiac event of some young men? Because it seems that is what you are saying. And that by stating the fact tbat people had cardiac events prior to covid, that there is some logic inferred that therefore the vaccines never cause cardiac problems?

Did you see the YT vid by John Cambell 2 days ago. He reads from a medical textbook that states that myocarditis can cause sudden death in young athletes.

This during a video where he reads from a new paper in a medical journal which found that 1 in 35 people they checked who had had the vaccine, had markers for Myocarditis.

You can't state it is causal, but these figures are exceptionally high.

So, who is sure enough to rule out the vaccine for this young athlete?

If you can, then I wish I were as secure in my knowledge and trust of those who educate us.

"

Around 3%... You call that high?

But the vaccine did reduce the risk of catching the virus, and also reduced the impact of the virus when caught - it’s the opposite of compounding the risk.

Seems the discussion has moved on from... No theres no way bronnys illness is linked with a covid jab to... Actually the side effects are well known and published far and wide.. In particular cardiac issues and myocarditis. The next bit presumably being some young people have experienced cardiac issues as a result of side effects. One of which could be bronny. Unusual but not unheard of.

Around 3%... You call that high? It's a lot more than the death rate of covid

Yes, fortunately the vaccines, and other measures, reduced the Covid19 mortality rateThe mortality rate was lower than 3% initially too. Let's not pretend this is ebola."

I think the citizens if Peru, Mexico etc would disagree

Not to mention the cesspit that is North Korea

"I almost lost a good friend to a vaccine related side effect, are we playing top trumps now?

Like I said earlier, those who suffered loss during this pandemic seem to think they're right purely because they've suffered loss.

Is the number of people who have suffered heart related issues after their vaccine zero? I know for a fact it isn't.

Its all well and good saying its a small risk when you aren't the one who actually suffers.

It’s important not to demean anyone’s loss or suffering, but it’s also important to point out facts.

The risk of myocarditis from the vaccine was considerably lower than the risk of myocarditis from catching the virus.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9467278/#:~:text=The%20relative%20risk%20(RR)%20for,%2D2.65%2C%20vaccine%20group).So now you have risk of myocarditis from both. If the vaccine stopped you catching covid I could see the point of comparing the chances of both. It doesn't however, so now you are just compounding the risk."

Thats an interesting take on it. I wonder if every time you catch covid the risk compounds and equally everytime you have a booster jab the risk also compounds... So if youre one of those unfortunates who have caught covid multiple times and also had 3 boosters is your risk higher than is you hadnt caught it or had vaccines?

"Horrible horrible thing and wishing him a speedy recovery. (It’s Lebron James’s son by the way). For context he suffered cardiac arrest during a basketball practice. But he’s ok and doing better.

Sad to see people attributing this to the vaccine…

Some people are not made for serious exercise and these days it's the ultra fit keeling over.

Why?

I'm sure North Koreans have a lot more to worry about than covid. It'll be very low on a very long list of things to care about.

I know.

Re the vaccine and myocarditis correlation being so low, it's probable it's not causation as there'll be other variables. High percentage increases probability of causation.

The mortality rate was never high but exposure/transmission was, hence fatalities a high number.

"Seems the discussion has moved on from... "

I think the argument is ‘these things have always occurred at a similar rate pre and post Covid, and it’s terribly unfortunate at any time’
