Serious answers or comedy quips?

Serious: See your doctor. It could be physical or it could be due to mental/emotional blocks. It could be a side effect of any medication that you are already on. It might just be due to age/diet. It might be a symptom pointing towards something much more serious.

Comedy: Two lollypop sticks and an elastic band. Laundry starch is good for stiffening. Get love/hate tattooed on your knuckles and shave your head, it'll make you well hard.

TLDR: Talk to your doctor.

Are you unable to use viagra or all similar medications, cialis etc (referred to as PDE5 inhibitors)?

If it's just viagra that you're unable to use, cialis / tadalafil is good, as are the other similar ones.

Other than that there is Eroxon gel (available in Boots without prescription), which cools and then warms stimulating a erection.

Further options are pump / cock ring, injections, muse / gel /pellets and then as a last resort there are implants.

You're welcome to DM me if you want to chat further.

Erectile dysfunction is often an early marker of cardiac or other circulatory disease so you would be wise to get a full check up.

If you smoke stop, cut down on booze. Exercise is great for libido etc.

Interesting I've never had any issues with libido but went to the state in holiday and found in a dollar store some herbal tablets for it so I fuck it give it a go . I was rock hard from it in half an hour so herbals defenatly a way to go if they have horny goat in them or palmetto.

Look at a badly photoshopped Nicola Sturgeon head on a dwarf's body. Wank furiously whilst looking. If nothing happens close one eye and think of Nigella Lawson (or your fantasy chick/bloke) and try that.

If you get hard slightly open both eyes to bring Sturgeon/dwarf image back to the fore. Repeat until hard.

After this there should be no problems getting erect if the other person is semi reasonable.

If symptoms persist switch out some factors and have a play...Widdecombe/Sam Smith

Or see a doctor like most people would.

Not me. I used the Alison Hammond/Ellie Simmonds technique with Jane McDonald

An xray is always to hand? I could go to my GP tomorrow morning and theoretically have a finger up my bum within 60 seconds - and it wouldn't cost them anything.

I can't really see a valid reason to object to that (excluding previous traumatic experiences, of course).

Everything is related to your blood flow , drink & smoking seriously affect the arteries and do narrow them, like everything ,things like diet , sleep..Yes sleep.. activities..etc all contribute towards rock hard natural boners.

Some people may have medical issues that are unavoidable so a different way may have to be travelled but if healthy what you eat & do has an important part to play .

Cut right back on the booze; over time, it dulls the nerve endings, meaning you lose sensitivity and then getting it hard seems really difficult. Then it can become a mental issue whereby you fear not getting a stiffy when you're in a sexual situation, so of course you don't you don't get a stiffy because you're stressed and the blood is going to other parts of your body but not your cock........

Yes, take up some other hobby, it’s a sign from nature that your body no longer needs sex, so don’t stress yourself over what your mind thinks it needs.

With the greatest of respect that is a load of bollocks. I have been unable to get a full erection for a number of years despite trying all the various medications.( Viagra used to work but doesn't any longer). Despite that and regardless of what my body tells me my mind still has the same interest. I can still enjoy all the same feelings and still cum from the appropriate stimulation. I have also met people who are happy with my situation and had fun with them.

Ridiculous comment, a digital rectal examination (or finger up your ass), 1. Doesn't make you gay!

2. Might save your life.

3. Isn't always done and can be declined if you don't want it.

4. The specialist you refer to isn't always male (whatever that's got to do with getting a proper assessment).

My mum's advanced breast cancer didn't show up on an X-ray or a mammogram and was only detected during a manual examination.

The best way to check a prostate is to feel it with a finger.

Also examining a body with a hand or finger costs nothing - X-rays and other medical scans are expensive.

Also your comments make you seem quite fearful.

You can balance hormones by changing what you eat. Cholesterol is the precursor for all hormones, so to up your testosterone levels you need to eat more animal fat.

Soy creates large oestrogen releases in men and this needs to be removed from your diet.

Then cut all processed foods and watch your hormones bounce back.

Stop eating foods which cause LDL cholestrol to build up reducing blood flow in the arteries.

Wrong on so many levels. LDL doesn't cause anything, least of all build up in the arteries.

Cholesterol is used by the body as a healer/sealer when oxidation of the epithelium (simplistic explanation) causes a number of symptoms.

Blaming cholesterol is like blaming an ambulance for an accident.

Cholesterol is in every cell wall. If you never ate it again your body would make all that it needs.

Only a diet high in seed oils and carbs can overload the body and cause, amongst other things, hormone suppression.

"High cholesterol is when you have too much of a fatty substance called cholesterol in your blood.

It's mainly caused by eating fatty food, not exercising enough, being overweight, smoking and drinking alcohol. It can also run in families.

You can lower your cholesterol by eating healthily and getting more exercise. Some people also need to take medicine.

Too much cholesterol can block your blood vessels."

3. Isn't always done and can be declined if you don't want it.

4. The specialist you refer to isn't always male (whatever that's got to do with getting a proper assessment)."

Thank you for a sensible reply. Its no laughing matter and quite right ”might save your life”.

Please guys just get over the embarrassment and talk to your GP.

"The comments here that people pass off as medical advice is frightening. Raw onions, being gay for having a prostate examination. Incorrect “facts” about cholesterol.

The only advice on here you should follow is go to your gp and ignore any other advice on here!"

Ask your gp what cholesterol is. They won't know.

Ask them what Apo b is.

Ask them what the Q score actually is (ratio of hdl to triglycerides) and why that is the measure of cardiac infarction likelihood and not cholesterol level.

Ask for your A1C scores and its a test they dont do.

Op, sorry you have experienced this. I have lost my erection once, my own fault as I was stressed, but it was not fun at all.

The best way isn’t viagra or any strange rain dance nonsense. The best way to fix this is to cruise on TRT. Now I am not a steroid user nor an expert however this can be prescribed to men with low testosterone levels and this will boost your erection capabilities. If you can’t get it prescribed it’s literally as easy as buying a tin of soup, it’s very easy to locate.

The major downside to cruising on TRT is ofcourse, having to pin it into your arse.

You can also do the gel. No pinning in the arse.

The problem the OP might have there is that unless he does it privately, the NHS will just go "Meh, age related." They can be very reticent even with people in their 40s. It also carries some potential side effects like prostate issues and high blood pressure, so it has to be monitored.

Go to your GP - 1 in 4 men over the age of 30 are affected with low testosterone and ED is one of the most common symptoms. If low testosterone is confirmed, you may want to consider looking into TRT.

Private clinics will consider 11nmol/l TT as a low result. NHS will usually only consider treatment if TT levels are under 7nmol/l. It could also be that your FT is low so may still be experiencing symptoms.

I'm glad you said that, I'll ask for that one too (anti-depressants have a lot to answer for....been of them for years now), as I've been on the urologist waiting list since Nov 2021. I have asked to be referred to a hormone specialist as well, without the GP bounce back.

Peyronie's disease is a disorder in which scar link tissue, called plaque, forms under the skin of the penis—the male organ used for urination and sex. The plaque builds up inside the penis, in the thick elastic membrane called the tunica albuginea. The tunica albuginea helps keep the penis stiff during an erection.

Shock wave therapy is recommended for erectile dysfunction

Get some decent rest, eat good food, cut out high caffeine and sugar foods and drinks exercise, exercise specifically focus on pelvis and abdominal work. Drink plenty of water.

Also massage your penis, no not wank. Massage it to help increase blood flow. Lots of drugs and herbal stuff you can take too of course.

Agreed, TRT with a private clinic can be very costly. However NHS will usually only consider offering treatment if testosterone levels are much lower, but it’s worth asking for a test with them to check if low testosterone could be the cause of any symptoms.

Avoid the nasal spray. That was withdrawn in the us due to some people developing a spike in blood pressure. Not a big one but enough to remove that method of delivery. And you need much more of it making it more expensive. There are a few places to get it online. A simple Google search should point you in the right direction

Ok first thing go see the doctor immediately erectile disfunction can be a symptom of cardio vascular problems like high blood pressure or even diabetes. Do not under any circumstances take a herbal remady or vigra, as it could kill you if you have cardio problems. Non drug options are (moderate) exercise, cut down on caffeine, and to be honest, try wanking and edging yourself, this helps you get (and stay) hard over longer periods. Avoid cocaine and other stimulants, and look at your stress levels (work etc). If you are ill, unfit, stressed, you are more likely to have problems.

Not sure anybody actually said and don't want another man vs woman debate today as been a few so will close this thread. However, do take your point that sometimes double standards on display and on this particular issue men can understandably be very sensitive and we should be positive and supportive, which was generally the case.

OP if you see this thread, hope you got some useful advice and feel free to start another at some point.
