Has anyone had Lymes disease stupidly got bit while having outdoors fun lol never again, it's been 3 weeks and still unwell, any ideas how long it takes to get better

Never had it but am a paramedic you will have a course of oral antibiotics which should be at least 14 days you can still feel the effects for at least 4 to 6 weeks even a bit longer sorry to be the bearer of not so good news hope your recovery does go well

Oh no.. but thankyou for the reply, the last of the antibiotics is on Friday, well there's a lesson learned outdoors is off my list and so is any fun for a while

Lyme disease, worst case scenario causes encephalitis. It may be that having antibiotics early minimises the risk. Best bet - keep in contact with GP.

No i havent. But had been tested for it years ago. Because i couldnt stop coughing .i still have moments where ill have a cough after a cold for like 6 months. So i use salbutamol inhaler .
