Shigella isn't a virus it's a bacterial infection . Usually causes gastric symptoms so diarrhoea , cramps etc .

Lives in your gut, one of the things you can catch if you come into contact with someone else's poop.

London

Really common.

The incidence of shigellosis is reported to be one hundred eighty-eight million cases per year with approximately 1 million deaths annually. In developed countries, the incidence is around 1.5 million cases per year.

Probably not worth starting anything sensationalist....

An archipelago that is independent and nothing to do with the canaries or Spain

It’s a lovely place with fantastic beaches but some very poor areas without running water so has potential for disease to spread

Heavily affected gay population 2 years ago. Health alerts were sent to any many accessing healthcare who have sex with men, this is why it's good to be honest about who you shag or you miss out on vital health education advice.

There is roughly the same number of cases as there was recorded in 2018/19 Think it's quite obvious why cases went down in 2020/21.
