Well I have just tested positive for Covid-19 and at the moment I feel like I have been hit by a steam train. I have been taking paracetamol and keeping my fluids up and have just started a high course of antibiotics as not so long ago I had pneumonia. I also have asthma so am struggling a bit.

Anyone else have any ideas of what I can try?

Get an oxygen meter

If breathing becomes harder lay down face down on bed, relaxed long slow breaths and try not to panic, concentrate only On breathing.

Bone broth - isotonic tablets to keep salts up

Proper rest,

Good fresh cool air. Open windows and wrap up.

In my happy place

You can double your meds with some inhalers.

Also cold n flu meds help but dont take other paracetamol products with them

Hythe

All of the above plus Vitamin D supplements are supposed to be good too...

Sorry you've succumbed to it, I haven't had it (yet) but it sounds pretty full on.

If you haven't already, let someone know you've got it and keep them updated - you might need some shopping or something and it's good to be prepared..

Good luck, and get well soon..

Go and get another vaccine, surely that will do the trick

Same here, just caught it for the first time. Copious cups of tea seem to help the sore throat. Hope you feel better soon

Me too after over 2.5 years and 4 jabs I have it. Like a bad cold in my chest.

But took a few days of having it before the LFT showed positive

No, a vaccine is preventative not a cure.

It's astonishing the things some people still think about vaccines, isn't it?

If anyone wants to know how vaccines work, they can read up on them via the NHS.

Well given that most people believe the lies they've been told in the media over past 2 years about the covid vaccines, I can see how there is some confusion.

Could you elaborate on the lies in the media about the vaccine?

"Get the vaccine and the virus stops with you" was a big one parroted about when the fear mongering was in full swing alongside the othering of those who didn't want it with threats of withholding medical treatment, loss of jobs and basic rights.
