So after nearly 2 and a half years and wondering could i not catch it its finally got me. Tested positive on friday morning, was feeling rough for two days before but was testing negative. Woke on friday morning with what felt like the hangover from hell. Mainly slept and drank plenty of water, day two and headache was gone but was full of cold sneezing and sounding like some old time blues singer. Awoken early last night with back pain thats had me awake since about 2, think i sleep well today. Hot bath and rest for today, if any advice on what made people feel better be much appreciated. Feeling down and emotional!!!

I had it this time last year but it was very mild.

I just focussed on getting on with things I could do at home and caught up with the “I’ll do it later” things too.

Obviously with legislation changes now, you could actually go for walks and still stay away from people and even if feeling a bit weak, it gets you fresh air.

Get yourself into a box set or two as well to keep your mind off how you’re feeling.

Phone around mates and family too, catch up and get talking, all things to keep you feeling positive about yourself.

Good luck mate.

Plenty of fluids fruits containing vitamin c and stuff that boost the immune system Green tea is good I drink loads of it, I have several autoimmune illnesses so am classed as vulnerable I haven’t had any jabs because I believe they could trigger an autoimmune reaction of my present illnesses, I’ve definitively had Covid twice in April and Again just last week, and I’ve got over both times ok within a couple of days,

All I can recommend is paracetamol and fluids. If you're able some gentle exercise.

Feel better soon

Plenty of fluids and rest will help, "cold remedies" such as lemsip or Beechams could take the edge off the symptoms a little too.

Just rest, it's the best way to recover from it. Take medication for any symptoms.

Don't try to do too much until you feel better, it can make it worse.

There is no explaining how and why it gets people and how we all have different symptoms. Hopefully in years to come they will find more about it.

Amazing that vaccination went from the height of private information whose disclosure violated all the laws in all the ways - to a purity test as to whether your Covid is valid or a subject of mockery. By the same people.

Btw I'm vaccinated against everything I've ever been eligible for, and it's about as secret to me as the fact I have toenails

I took co-codamol, drank Lucozade and rested on my sofa as much as possible.

I still made basic meals but no housework.

4 x times I've had it. Perks of healthcare sector aha! First time was awful. Found sleep, hot baths and eating what you want helped.

Hope you feel better soon

It's possible but I've had covid 5 times and my husband only once.

The main advice I can give is just to do exactly what you're doing and maybe just take paracetamol when need. Really hope you feel better soon. X
