It's potentially more good news. The greater the range of treatment options that we have, the better

what rubbish. It's sadly still in some cases a serious illness. My fit , healthy mid 20s daughter has a blood clot on her lung from her brush with covid.. and its seriously affecting her life now months after contacting it

no she chose not to as she was young and fit and then got pregnant so didn't want it as she had read that it was inadvisable. Something she now regrets

Vaccinated or unvaccinated... people can get blood clots on their lung. No vaccination can EVER prevent that.

My sister and Mother are still effected by covid (before Vaccine was out) and its after effects. Lucky for me and my gf when we got it, it felt like a bad cold due to being vaccinated and have no after effects. So if this finding helps in treatments and finding a end to this then that what matters.

I’ll be honest, I’ve never heard of COVID causing blood clots. Are they 100z sure it was COVID and not something else?

Clot rates caused by covid itself are many many times higher than vaccine induced clots. Of course many clots have lots of other causes.

I had a very large clot on my lung from the AstraZeneca vaccine. Took me a good few months to recover, still on thinners. Hope she recovers fully & soon.

Clot rates caused by covid itself are many many times higher than vaccine induced clots. Of course many clots have lots of other causes."

From an article published in pubmed.ncbi Oct 21:

"Blood clots are a central feature of coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) and can culminate in pulmonary embolism, stroke, and sudden death. However, it is not known how abnormal blood clots form in COVID-19 or why they occur even in asymptomatic and convalescent patients. Here we report that the Spike protein from severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) binds to the blood coagulation factor fibrinogen and induces structurally abnormal blood clots with heightened proinflammatory activity".

And

"One-sentence summary: SARS-CoV-2 spike induces structurally abnormal blood clots and thromboinflammation neutralized by a fibrin-targeting antibody".

Directly from the CDC on mRNA vaccines:

"First, mRNA COVID-19 vaccines are given in the upper arm muscle or upper thigh, depending on the age of who is getting vaccinated.

After vaccination, the mRNA will enter the muscle cells. Once inside, they use the cells’ machinery to produce a harmless piece of what is called the spike protein. The spike protein is found on the surface of the virus that causes COVID-19. After the protein piece is made, our cells break down the mRNA and remove it, leaving the body as waste.

Next, our cells display the spike protein piece on their surface. Our immune system recognizes that the protein does not belong there. This triggers our immune system to produce antibodies and activate other immune cells to fight off what it thinks is an infection. This is what your body might do if you got sick with COVID-19".

In summary, the spike protein produces structurally abnormal blood clots.

Once you received an mRNA vaccine your body produces these spike proteins. According to the CDC they're harmless, according to pubmed study they can be lethal.

Who the f**k is right?!?

Good luck to all of you who took the vaccine!!!

Covid itself is an uncontrolled infection and contains a plethora of other proteins.

The vaccines code for a fragment of the spike, not the whole thing, as a time limited instruction - that's likely a difference in any clotting potential.

Why would the vaccinated need luck? I'm on my 4th now ( live with a clinically vulnerable and immune compromised individual )

I actually don't know personally anyone that isn't vaccinated... sadly I lost people to covid and have been a part of the volunteers helping the nation get their vaccines

Had it before my vaccines and had it after. Both were very similar. If anything I felt worse first time but my cough was worse second time around which was far more unpleasant than just feeling shitty. Few days and I was fine though.

I know no one who had a bad outcome from it through a spectrum of die hard vaxxers to die hard anti vaxxers.

I know more people who wish they'd never been vaccinated and blame a lot of medical issues[clots, sudden really painful arthritis, heart issues]on getting the vaccines.

I certainly won't be taking any more vaccines for COVID

I know no one that has had a really bad issue after having had the vaccine. I however do know people that died from covid or have suffered terribly with long term difficulties after having covid.

If there were so many bad things from the vaccines they would have been taken off the market ( like with the astra zeneca vaccine. ) the actual number of people that had issues with clots was not even more than the percentage that is in the population normally but just in case they removed it for most

life should never have stopped for this virus in the first place and tge you’re missing the fact that the unvaxed are not really getting Ill with it . Also natural immunity and covid mutating to be less less deadly is why less people are becoming seriously I’ll of dying with not the so called vax as in Pfizer’s own words it not very effective or long lasting

the unvaccinated are getting ill with it. My pregnant daughter has ended up with long term issues from her recent covid infection. Putting her and the unborn baby at risk...

So please don't say people aren't. And yes the world should have been stopped a lot quicker and harsher. And maybe just maybe friends and relatives would have still been with us today. Your talking regurgitated anti vax rubbish that has been proven as such.

Don't take it.. or do. Its your choice but it is making a big difference in a positive way

as long as people report things to the yellow card system it can be looked into. Often its just coincidence... like I thought my current issues were from my recent booster... and reported it .... however my bloods taken 8 days before the booster shows the reason why I've got current issues. ..however if I'd not had my blood tests it would have been within reasonable thought process to think it was the vaccine.

Although even I suspect its had an impact... however I work in care.. I also look after a vulnerable person at home.. it would be irresponsible of me not to be vaccinated

that’s the biggest myth going that it would be irresponsible of you not to take it as it only protects you and how much it actually does protect you is debatable .

actually no, not a myth. It helps lower transmission and also reduces the severity and length of infection, which in turn helped to prevent spread.... I don't think not having it is irresponsible, however in my situation it would be of me. I have a daughter with downs syndrome who lives with me and covid would be a very serious risk to her... as would flu etc... so I have to use every thing I have to help protect her but still live a normal life. At the height of covid she was totally isolated from the world apart from her immediate family and I'd like to avoid having to do that again

"Had it before my vaccines and had it after.

I certainly won't be taking any more vaccines for COVID I know no one that has had a really bad issue after having had the vaccine. I however do know people that died from covid or have suffered terribly with long term difficulties after having covid.

If there were so many bad things from the vaccines they would have been taken off the market ( like with the astra zeneca vaccine. ) the actual number of people that had issues with clots was not even more than the percentage that is in the population normally but just in case they removed it for most I'll let my friends know that. Must all be in their heads as long as people report things to the yellow card system it can be looked into.

It's personal choice and viewpoint, so if someone would perceive themselves as irresponsible, then that's their reality. Only they know their full circumstances etc.

Your other point on vaccines misses the evidence.

Vaccines have resulted in people being less infectious - having a lower viral losd and less shedding of virus and for a significantly shorter period than people who had not been vaccinated.

there’s no conclusive evidence to say the vax makes you less likely to spread it or because me less I’ll actually at the moment figures say you’re more likely to be seriously Ill or hospitalised if you’re vaxed . The vaxed are faring worse than the unvaxed at the moment . Covid has never been as deadly at they first said that’s obvious now

It's not true. Give a reputable source. In the april/may the latest figures I found just under 50% of the uk covid deaths are unvaccinated. 94% of the population over 12 are vaccinated. In the vulnerable population over 50s etc its much higher than that. If the vaccine wasn't working then unvaccinated people would make a tiny amount of the people who die, probably 2 or 3%.

Caught covid whilst travelling to USA on flight

Went on amoxycillin antibiotics right away and this removed effects within 3 days.

They say antibiotics don't fight covid but they did for me,

Do they say this for cost involved?

Regardless they worked for myself.

very true, but as blood clots are a symptom of covid it was always going to be something you could get.

From what I read though with covid vaccines the blood clots were almost instant. Thing is you can get random blood clots for what seems like no reason anyway. They still pulled the vaccine but thr chances of getting one randomly were still higher than from the vaccine.

A vaccine ISN'T a cure. It simply teaches the immune system to enable it to better fight the infection.

No vaccine prevents infection.

Yes which in turn becomes a cure as the body learns from the vaccine unless you've a strong immune system then it'll figure it out

No vaccine prevents infection mmmm I'd ask cal about the validity of that statement as the previous definition of a vaccine said it prevents infection by as you said training the immune system so the infection can't take hold and thus multiplying and spreading

A vaccine increases natural immunity. As far as I am aware no vaccine gives 100% immunity from infection but I stand to corrected.

Totally agree with this as it gives the body to acknowledge something then create a defence over time in that time can become unwell due to not being familiar and have quickly each person defense system acts thus not everyone needs the vaccine because each person acts differently how their antibodies act down to lifestyle at the time

Basically the body learns and is able to or not to create a defence IE antibodies due to a weak immune system or from Iii health causing this that's why it was easier and less costly to get everyone vaccinated rather than testing everyone if you need it

Because of the way your immune system works, you need to actually become infected BEFORE your immune system can "Do Anything". Yes your immune system can stop a virus in it's tracks, but until you are infected (ie the pathogen is inside your body), there is no way your immune system and influence a virus in any way... it's quite obvious really.

"Basically the body learns and is able to or not to create a defence IE antibodies due to a weak immune system or from Iii health causing this that's why it was easier and less costly to get everyone vaccinated rather than testing everyone if you need it "
there is no reason in the world to get everyone vaxed and getting everyone vaxed can cause other problems

"Yes their is a cure it's called a vaccine, so your immune system is able to build antibodies. Or maintain a healthy immune system understand what you eat and purpose what it's provides

A vaccine ISN'T a cure. It simply teaches the immune system to enable it to better fight the infection.

No vaccine prevents infection.

Nita

No vaccine prevents infection mmmm I'd ask cal about the validity of that statement as the previous definition of a vaccine said it prevents infection by as you said training the immune system so the infection can't take hold and thus multiplying and spreading

A vaccine increases natural immunity. As far as I am aware no vaccine gives 100% immunity from infection but I stand to corrected."

this isn’t really a vaccine they had to change the definition and maybe watch old fuchi interviews from years ago he says the opposite of what he’s saying now . Why if you’re not at risk from covid would you take a trial vax

We'll echo that, good luck to all the vaccinated.

Why would the vaccinated need luck? I'm on my 4th now ( live with a clinically vulnerable and immune compromised individual )

I actually don't know personally anyone that isn't vaccinated... sadly I lost people to covid and have been a part of the volunteers helping the nation get their vaccines "

Good for you, I’m sure it makes perfect sense to you, and doing it for others is commendable for sure.

I know you don’t know me or my wife but neither of us have been vaccinated and I can assure you we are not alone. There are also plenty of people that are now “woke” and have said enoughs enough and won’t be having any more past the 1st or 2nd jabs.

I myself am immune compromised ( by intravenous infusions every 8 weeks to suppress my immune system ) to control arthritis. I have also suffered with thyroid cancer since 2014 and after 3 bouts of “curative” surgery has now developed into lung cancer.

Despite this I have no intention of getting vaccinated. I have had it last year and it was nothing more than a sniffle, the worst symptom was 3 weeks of no taste or smell.

If you’ve lost people then I’m really sorry and I hope you get over it, but it’s highly unlikely that COVID killed them, they will most probably have died of an associated illness that they already had, or old age.

I hear what you’re saying but have to disagree.

Your 20 years experience is not with Covid, that would be 2 years at the outside, the vast majority of those that you’ve seen (but not with your own eyes) had underlying health conditions or were of old age. An extreme minority of these people were free of any other condition ( or undiagnosed at the least)

So the probability of a bad outcome amongst this group is very small.

As is the probability of the population as a whole, don’t forget the death rate is now, and has always been 0.006% not just here in the UK but worldwide.

This is why I won’t be jabbed, even if my chances were increased to 10% I don’t consider that warrants becoming one of life’s Guinea Pigs.

I’m certainly not going to die of ignorance I’m fully informed and comfortable with my choice thanks.

but the the figures show the jab won’t save you . If your not high risk why would you get the experimental jab and even the experts now are saying covids not as deadly as they first thought . I know you say you work on on a respiratory ward but the stats don’t back up what you’re saying and antidotal evidence dosnt trump facts

stop being pedantic a pulmonary embolism is a blood clot in the lungs. I don't know what vaccine you think people are being given as the ones I've had are not trail ones.

And no there is no guarantee but a bloody good chance of it... I've had covid once at the start before vaccines and once this year. Significantly less poorly. My fit healthy son and daughter in law who also were anti vaccine caught covid over the summer... knocked them both sideways and one is still suffering long term effects now. Although since taking his first vaccine.. his long covid symptoms seem to have eased considerably.

I don't care if someone else doesn't want the vaccine , my issue is with the false statements about the vaccines or regurgitated anti vaccine propaganda.

Also it's all well and good saying covid is not that deadly.... till it is. I watched loved ones and friends succumb to covid prior to vaccines and even a few since... and working in care I see just how many are still suffering

There is no known virus with a cure like antibiotic for bacteries! All treatments are base on virus suppression with the hope that our immune system will not be overwhelmed, And be able to "clear"the virus. This why the benefit of all these treatments is often limited.

the vaccines for covid are still in trial stages and these vaccine are not very effective even the makers admit and the reason the symptoms are not as bad the second time around is more than likely due to you having it twice and building some natural immunity to it . The statement you make about you’re family members long term effects been not so bad since having the vax is totally unrelated to having the vax . All viruses can be deadly and it proven covid is not that deadly with a 99.7% survival rate at least and the average age of death is 83 which is above my life expectancy as a male .

The figures you have given are not right. The average age figure you are quoting is way out of date and comes pre vaccination it lower now in the high 70s. The average loss of life due to covid is 11 to 12 years. The 99.7% survival rate is also often quoted but it used covid deaths divided by the whole population not the number of people who had covid, which wasn't that many as it was early in the pandemic. The survival rate at the beginning was less than 90%. Now the survival rate is higher than 99.7% thanks due better understanding of treatments, nearly everyone over 12 is vaccinated now and milder variants.

it's hilarious that people are still whining about "the trial" vaccine and other such nonsense.

There are many "different" vaccines, using several different technologies. The "new" technology that is mRNA, has actually been around since the early seventies, which isn't actually THAT new... it's not even the first vaccine that uses the mRNA base. There were Rabies and Cancer vaccines being tested before covid came along and jumped the queue.

Also it's all well and good saying covid is not that deadly.... till it is. I watched loved ones and friends succumb to covid prior to vaccines and even a few since... and working in care I see just how many are still suffering the vaccines for covid are still in trial stages and these vaccine are not very effective even the makers admit and the reason the symptoms are not as bad the second time around is more than likely due to you having it twice and building some natural immunity to it . The statement you make about you’re family members long term effects been not so bad since having the vax is totally unrelated to having the vax . All viruses can be deadly and it proven covid is not that deadly with a 99.7% survival rate at least and the average age of death is 83 which is above my life expectancy as a male . you obviously don't have a person that would be at serious risk of death if they contracted covid. And don't know how people can still harp on about "trials" . We shall agree to disagree. you can’t really disagree with a fact and most people who at risk of death from covid are more at risk of death from most viruses and people harp on about trials because the so called vax is still on trial for emergency use

When you post any facts, do let me know. It'd make a change.these are facts but you don’t want to believe them becuse you’ve believed the ridiculous narrative and can’t admit that lockdowns were pointless rescritions were and that covid has been blown out of all proportion . Why are you not asking question about the excess death from causes unknown and heart attacks .

Now the survival rate is higher than 99.7% thanks due better understanding of treatments, nearly everyone over 12 is vaccinated now and milder variants."

them figure are not right all and as for treatments they treat as they do most respority viruses

"it's hilarious that people are still whining about "the trial" vaccine and other such nonsense.

Cal"

As you say cal being tested https://doi.org/10.1016/j.vaccine.2022.08.036 peer review published paper for context Pfizer 0.9-500 Moderna, J+J, ect (MRNA) 1-800 life changing adverse effects all other vaccines the threshold is 1/2 - 1,000,000 or its pulled

There is an interesting new documentary which questions the vaccine safety, will we ever know all the facts? Don’t know if I’m allowed to put the name of the documentary here

"Vaccinated or unvaccinated... people can get blood clots on their lung. No vaccination can EVER prevent that."

but it does look like these 'so called' vaccines can cause blood clots anywhere very easily?

not sure if this was it?:-

https://youtu.be/dIVZ5ssWB-o

bit of an eye opener for those globalists following the narrative embracing the NWO who spent the last 2yr ignoring all obvious warning signs fobbing everyone off who warned them calling them a 'conspiracy theorists' pretending it wasn't an experiment and that they were all 'real' vaccines........ mmmm maybe the globalists should ignore this and pretend it's going to go away and everything will be normal and we'll all get better and live happily ever after.......

I just meant I didn’t know if I was allowed to link to outside programmes and post links etc, I’m not into all the politics. That is the one I meant though. I’m a firm believer in everyone having their own opinions and beliefs and I mean no harm to anyone

not very easily at all.. in fact the percentage was less than can occur naturally in none vaxed but they still adjusted the programs accordingly.

I do hope a cure is oh the horizon . Working 8 to 12 hours in ppe is hot work and we are still testing before work and a pcr too once a week. .

So far managed to keep it out of where I work since August but it's sadly on the rise again locally and 2 other local homes have gone into lockdown procedures ... hopefully it won't get too bad this winter.

cute it’s a respority virus like influenza the common cold etc it’s here to stay infection rates will rise and fall some years deaths will be high from it some years death will be low from it . It’s comparable to influenza now and that’s how we should treat as such . No need to test if you’re well and no need to test randomly and even in care home setting masks make no real difference . Do you want to randomly test for the rest if you’re life

I beg to differ but testing makes a huge difference and its still not the same as flu to many... not even the fit and well... sadly I've seen it knock some young fit people sideways..and long covid is a real issue.

Please stop trying to trivialise something that is not a trivial matter to many still.

And sorry but mask wearing in a setting such as ours makes a big difference. We change then between residents when we have an outbreak.. Wear face shields and gloves, aprons and have to have impeccable hygiene between residents..

Covid is still much more contagious than flu. But even with flu... we have found that the precautions we take for covid has all but stopped flu too

pcr tests are not accurate it’s comparable to flu and most of the ridiculous precautions you’re taken make no difference . It should be treated like any other respiratory virus now . Most younger age groups are more at risk from flu

We shall agree to disagree. I have been keeping a very close eye on all the research as this nearly killed me.... and did kill several people I know.... and sadly my disabled daughter lost 7 friends to it.

My friend works in a covid ward and she tells me the horror stories even now. She had to have therapy at the height of covid. It's not to be treated just like any other respiratory issue as its long term affects can be very different. Perhaps do some volunteering for long covid support or covid therapy..... you would soon realise just how unlike flu it is...

I will be back to mask wearing in shops soon or crowded places.. same as I will be while in Italy this next week.

you must the unluckiest person ever knowing all these people who died with covid the figures just add up for you to know that many people and it is comparable to influenza and you do influenza can leave long term effects like all viruses can including the common cold and my brother does a clinical job in a covid area and it just like working on any other ward and has harder in non covid times . Over 90 % of people who get covid need no medical help at all and it is to be treated like any other respority virus as that’s what it is . Masks make little to no difference with virus and face shield are a completewaste of time . It just one of the many respority viruses we now live with people will always die with it specially the elderly . As for wearing masks in shops etc that hysterical behaviour and pointless . I never worn a mask nor will I . It’s not new anymore time to just get on with life instead of worrying about a virus that doesn't have high death rates . As for you’re mate who works on a covid ward what horror story’s surely she seen someone die of a respiratory virus before and the nhs never saw more people in hospital through out covid . You seem to have fell for the scaremongering narrative put out about the virus which has never been as deadly as they made out

I was x3 vaccinated and I still got it albeit thank Heavens it was like a weird mild cold. Same for my partner. I am grateful I had the vaccines. I know people who were x3 vaccinated and they got it with 39°C temperature and flat in bed, I know others who were vaccinated and hospitalised with oxygen and steroids. Basically my gist is, yes, avoid the vaccine if you want to but avoid it at your own risk and let the others have it without playing smartarse at them. Sometimes all it takes for an infection to go from mild to deadly wrong is just just a roll of the dice.

I had a pulmonary embolism at the begging of lockdown not covid related my lungs were riddled with clots but got them sorted and now on blood thiners and no after effects and there’s no guarantee the trial vax would have stopped this happening tonyoure daughter stop being pedantic a pulmonary embolism is a blood clot in the lungs.

Also it's all well and good saying covid is not that deadly.... till it is. I watched loved ones and friends succumb to covid prior to vaccines and even a few since... and working in care I see just how many are still suffering the vaccines for covid are still in trial stages and these vaccine are not very effective even the makers admit and the reason the symptoms are not as bad the second time around is more than likely due to you having it twice and building some natural immunity to it .

It'd make a change.

The truth is, it’s a highly unpredictable bloody virus and scientific data are still emerging…but you gotta love idiocy dressed as “know-it-all”.

Basically my gist is, yes, avoid the vaccine if you want to but avoid it at your own risk and let the others have it without playing smartarse at them. Sometimes all it takes for an infection to go from mild to deadly wrong is just just a roll of the dice."

it’s not highly unpredictable at all

"I do hope a cure is oh the horizon .

Do you want to randomly test for the rest if you’re life I beg to differ but testing makes a huge difference and its still not the same as flu to many... not even the fit and well... sadly I've seen it knock some young fit people sideways..and long covid is a real issue.

But even with flu... we have found that the precautions we take for covid has all but stopped flu too pcr tests are not accurate it’s comparable to flu and most of the ridiculous precautions you’re taken make no difference .

You seem to have fell for the scaremongering narrative put out about the virus which has never been as deadly as they made out "

sorry but it's you that has fell for some idiot story about how covid is nothing. I feel for you I really do. I'm not unlucky at all, I know many people that have lost at least 3 or 4 friends or love ones over the past few years. To be honest I've kept up with the vaccine reports and even delayed my daughter having hers till there was a little more info out there.

No one is forced to take the vaccine... it's personal choice but please don't make covid out to be trivial... it's not

covid 19 is just like any other respiratory virus the only reason for panic at the beginning was becuse it was new and we had little to no natural imunity . It’s never been as deadly as the said and the vast majority of people know no one who’s died as a result you either don’t know that many who’ve died with covid or you are very unlucky as the figures don’t bear it out . Not hysterical at all

Practical and realistic about it. I would love to know where you get the idea that most people don't know anyone that died from it. Certainly not my experience over the past couple of years. Certainly as a nhs responder and vaccine steward. I do not know of barely anyone that can make that claim..

I find it an insult to all those that died for people to say it was never that deadly. They always said it was I think a low number per hundred thousand but it was the numbers of infected which raised the numbers dying. I would count myself very lucky if I were you that you have not had the despair of having someone desperately ill from covid or suffering from it badly yourself.

Lucky for me when I first had it I'd been away from home and stayed away.. or there is a very good chance I'd have been burying my disabled daughter. I have always been one or those people that doesn't get poorly... till this.

I live a very full life just mindful of keeping on top of recent information about covid ... I test 5 times a week still as a requirement for work. And its helped stop us having an outbreak so far at work

testing is not ridiculous and it does help stop the spread. Its not my fault you can't understand something so basic.. and no I can't know but without the vaccine she had a 55% chance of dying according to the evidence. To be honest i don't think you can really believe all that you spout. I shall not bother arguing with you are more as there is no helping some people

I see the tinfoil hats are out in force. Then send covid was real, some even denying what is happening in Ukraine, and still trotting out the same tired conspiracy rubbish about “global reset”, pretending that every bad thing that happens is deliberate and part of a plan. And without a hint of irony, the tinfoil hats then refer to those who haven’t been brainwashed into conspiracy thinking as sheep!

She’s bound to get it one day like all of us are . Testing 5 times a week wearing a mask is just ridiculous asymptomatic spread is not a thing what you should actually do is if you are not well stay home just like we’ve always done the only difference with this virus is the fearmongering "

Asymptomatic spreading is very definitely real.

"it’s a respority virus like influenza the common cold etc it’s here to covid 19 is just like any other respiratory virus the only reason for panic at the beginning was becuse it was new and we had little to no natural imunity . It’s never been as deadly as the said and the vast majority of people know no one who’s died as a result you either don’t know that many who’ve died with covid or you are very unlucky as the figures don’t bear it out . You’re hysterical about it

And its helped stop us having an outbreak so far at workbecause the figures will tell you most people don’t anyone who’s life was taken by covid and it’s not Derespectful to people who have died saying it as deadly as we were led to believe as people die of all sorts of things all viruses can kill even the common cold and the vast majority of people who get it need no medical intervention at all. Testing when you’re well is pointless and not needed . My brother works in critical care and he only tests if he’s Ill .the pandemic is over if it ever really was one and you should be living you’re life as normal not scared of a flu like virus omg you have not got a clue. Testing when you have symptoms is like shutting the gate after the horse has bolted. I live my life to the full... just aware that this flu like virus could very realistically kill my daughter without her having had her vaccines.. and I work with vulnerable people, so we test residents and staff.. residents twice a week.... staff before every shift. Works well. pandemics were never driven by well people and if you’re well there’s no need to test it’s pointless and the pcr test does not tell you if you’re infectious just you that it detect the virus in you’re system . Yes, lots of people died during illegal invasion of Iraq. That has nothing to do with Ukraine though.

It Is. There have been quite a few in depth studies about it. And while yeah it seems that they are saying that if someone remains asymptomatic that they are less likely to spread the virus... but they also said that they found that nearly half of all those that began asymptomatic, developed symptoms within a couple of days.

And that is why testing regularly in homes helps stop the spread.... as its caught much earlier on.

If you feel ill... you shouldn't be out and about anyway.... but that's the issue with being asymptomatic.... you don't feel ill...so you do go about your normal business.

As to masks not being any good. Lots of research was done that shows it helps both to protect yourself and others..

https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-020-02801-8 hope this link is allowed.. it lists dozens of peer reviewed papers. All showing that masks help make a big difference.

The evidence is out there but you won't change some peoples minds...

Can you provided a link ?

Masks absolutely do make a difference. How much is questionable...

But, let's say they reduce transmission by 10%. That can be the difference between virus transmission rate dropping below the magic 1 and subsequently disappearing. (See 2020 & 2021 flu figures)...

For a virus with a higher r0, reducing the spread by 10% is almost futile.

In a way we got off lightly. Children were largely affected much less than adults. Can you imagine what it would have been like if hundreds of children were dying every day? The fear and paranoia? Most of these kinds of diseases affect children. Another reason to plan now for the next one.

Yes, masks make a difference. That is beyond dispute … except for those who refuse to believe anything that comes from official sources.

It is a mistake to try to persuade such people, as the more obvious the information, the more they distrust it.

Exactly. These people buy into baseless theories, require no evidence, but see themselves as the enlightened ones and think the rest of us are idiots.

A friend of mine is a recovering conspiracist. For years he was excited about the latest theory, wouldn’t listen to reason or facts, but I just enviros fed him to write down these things that he was certain of and look back on them a year or two later … and he realised that they were all total shit.

For example, covid was developed to kill billions of people. Or that we would never be released from lockdown. Or …

He just kept lurching that he next theory and the next one, until he finality realised that the sources he was relying on were complete nonsense

It is a mistake to try to persuade such people, as the more obvious the information, the more they distrust it. "

it’s not beyond dispute that masks make no or little to virus 20 years of study’s before covid showed that and every expert health organisation has said that in the past but changed narrative when covid came

"I see the tinfoil hats are out in force.

And bed wetters. When they're the ones terrified that the big bad global conspiracy bad guys are coming to get us.

But don't worry, they've watched a few videos on YouTube so they're not sheeple, they'll be ok. The boogie men won't get them.

Or …

He just kept lurching that he next theory and the next one, until he finality realised that the sources he was relying on were complete nonsense "

but you’ve got to say covid was blown out of all proportion

Do I?

I know of several people locally who died, and have several friends who suffered very badly in the early stages in particular.

The government couldn’t win. Some were criticising them for shutting down too much, others criticised for not shutting things down enough or for long enough.

And different regimes in different countries behaved in different ways.

I’d rather err on the side of caution, personally.

But that has nothing to do with the things point I was making, which was in relation to the whole thing being deliberate or the whole thing being a hoax. There was no conspiracy.

lockdowns were never even talked about in pre pandemic planning and you know someone who died of any cause within 28 days of a positive test and if you think covid hasn’t been used to further the great reset agenda you’re blind and if we erred in the side of caution we wouldn’t have sent thousands of elderly people back to care homes and rehab centres untested which caused the biggest spike in deaths .

“The great reset”.

Have you ever stopped to think how ludicrous and unachievable such a thing might be? The level of coordination and secrecy that would be required? Makes no sense on any level other than in a comic.

Covid was a very new experience for the western world (in living memory), every country tried to figure out the best way forward, and many mistakes were made.

But do I think there was a giant conspiracy behind covid? No.

I see you are ducking the point re how implausible and unrealistic the idea of the “reset” is. It is pure childish fantasy, belongs in a comic book

And some conspiracy theorists go further, they believe that covid was created deliberately.

Also, a couple of years ago we were being told u some conspiracy theorists that covid had deliberately been created to cull huge swathes of the world’s population, which was clearly bollocks

And bed wetters. When they're the ones terrified that the big bad global conspiracy bad guys are coming to get us.

But don't worry, they've watched a few videos on YouTube so they're not sheeple, they'll be ok. The boogie men won't get them.

Or …

He just kept lurching that he next theory and the next one, until he finality realised that the sources he was relying on were complete nonsense but you’ve got to say covid was blown out of all proportion

Makes no sense on any level other than in a comic. the great reset is openly talked about and the new king is a big supporter . Do you think everything about covid made sense

Covid was a very new experience for the western world (in living memory), every country tried to figure out the best way forward, and many mistakes were made.

But do I think there was a giant conspiracy behind covid? No.

I see you are ducking the point re how implausible and unrealistic the idea of the “reset” is. It is pure childish fantasy, belongs in a comic book but it’s not unrealistic is it digital currency the government having more control of our life’s stateonership and the tge response to covid was out of all proportion to the risk phrases like the new normal . You don’t really think covid came from a bat

Ducked it again, I see I’ve not ducked it at all just look what’s happening . Covid is been used to bring about change .

Covid had been used to being about change? But most / all of the changes were temporary.

And some conspiracy theorists go further, they believe that covid was created deliberately.

Also, a couple of years ago we were being told u some conspiracy theorists that covid had deliberately been created to cull huge swathes of the world’s population, which was clearly bollocks

No, I don’t believe in any form of coordinated conspiracy or plan. It’s a childish fantasy you don’t believe because you don’t want to and you don’t really have anything to refute it you just name call and although some changes were temporary it a nudge in the direction that the wef want us to go in . "

The reason I find the coordinated conspiracy implausible, as I have said before, is that I don’t believe that the levels of agreement, coordination, secrecy and planning could ever be achieved.

Politicians can’t even keep a birthday party secret, never mind a global conspiracy.

Leaks, incompetence, disagreement, power struggles … there are tons of reasons why coordinated conspiracies would never work.

It’s not that I don’t “want” to believe. I simply don’t.

Asymptomatic spreading is very definitely real.

The evidence is out there but you won't change some peoples minds...

their might be some peer reviewed study’s saying masks make a difference but for the past 30 years there’s been study’s sayings make little or no difference with virus and for every paper saying they make a difference theirs two saying they don’t and fuch witty van tam the cdc the who sage have all said in the past masks make no difference are stopping virus and you testing is achieving nothing but if you want to test for the rest of you’re life and wear a mask that’s up to you

Yes, masks make a difference. That is beyond dispute … except for those who refuse to believe anything that comes from official sources.

It is a mistake to try to persuade such people, as the more obvious the information, the more they distrust it. it’s not beyond dispute that masks make no or little to virus 20 years of study’s before covid showed that and every expert health organisation has said that in the past but changed narrative when covid came "

Again, sources please....

Ah, but once the apocalypse deadline passes, they'll find another one. Doom will be upon us in the future. Sometime. Proof is for sheeple, wanting evidence suppresses their rights, someday. You'll see.

Makes no sense on any level other than in a comic. the great reset is openly talked about and the new king is a big supporter . Do you think everything about covid made sense

The great reset

The ... Great ... Reset...

The........ Great ..... Reset

Nope "

Ducked it again, I see I’ve not ducked it at all just look what’s happening . Covid is been used to bring about change .

Covid had been used to being about change? But most / all of the changes were temporary.

And some conspiracy theorists go further, they believe that covid was created deliberately.

Also, a couple of years ago we were being told u some conspiracy theorists that covid had deliberately been created to cull huge swathes of the world’s population, which was clearly bollocks

No, I don’t believe in any form of coordinated conspiracy or plan. It’s a childish fantasy

Was the vaccine supposed to be a cull? It doesn't appear to have been very effective.

Maybe what Bill Gates meant was true and not the conspiracy nuts interpretation of his comments about population...

Only a few months left until the end of the trial for us guinea pigs. Looking forward to that..

Not a outright cull although that's happening but the mass sterilisation of the population the lipid nano partials collect in the overis and testicles
