Anyone else find themselves struggling to go from having a social to getting down to some fun? After being treated like a potential vector of disease for the past two years with social distancing, masks and plastic screens I'm finding it difficult to get close to other humans again. It's not that I don't want to. Heck, I miss the intimacy but I can't help but feel like I'm responsible if people get ill. Am I alone in feeling like this or are there other Fabbers out there that are having the same problem?

After seeing how people are disrespectful in general and about testing for covid, I'd assume they won't test for anything so likely riddled with STI's. Wanking is more fun.

I think it’s a perfectly normal reaction but you can take comfort in the fact that if you test 1-2 times a wear, are fully vaccinated and wear a mask, it greatly reduces the chance of you catching it.

You can still catch Covid wanking, unmasked and in a crowded setting- a bit kinky but not my cup of tea

I do understand.

I don't have a problem with day to day interaction such as shopping etc as I'm still fairly careful but recently a vulnerable person I know has been exposed to COVID and is not allowed visitors in hospital for ten days. I KNOW it wasn't me who exposed them but I still felt a moment of horror as I traced back my visits and lfts, precautions I'd taken etc.

We can only do our best and realise that when it comes to meeting people where you're going to get really intimate the responsibility lies with you both.

We are happy enough to go to swinging clubs in Gran Canaria, it's a risk but to us an acceptable risk as our enjoyment is worth it.

We won't go to packed out pubs or music events at home as it's still an unacceptable risk, but we dont "hide behind the sofa" as we've been to Gran Canaria 3 times in 6 months and are going back in 3 weeks and before someone tells us why we are wrong let me tell you we don't actually give a shit what you think as it's our lives and our decision not to mix unnecessarily with people who potentially don't give a flying fk about other peoples health.

I think it's wise to be cautious and careful. And to expect just to ease ourselves in carefully, to what we've viewed with unease for a couple of years. Small steps can be a better way to change ourselves, than huge jumps, when there's emotional aspects involved in doing things

We are struggling with getting back into the lifestyle after not meeting or going to clubs for the past two years.

We both want to but keep delaying actually doing anything about it.

It feels like we’re starting all over again which I suppose we are after all this time.

Ahh the noble art of not giving a f**k what people think.

Add me to that list.

Find it really sad, shocking and worrying that the government and media have put such fear and anxiety into some of the population. Not sure some will ever recover.

Nope, I'm good on that front. I'm struggling to stay off the forum though and keep responding to things, it does not bring out the best in me. Seriously, I asked admin if they could block me.
