hiding from cock pics.

Does anybody have a strange feeling that we are currently stuck in limbo waiting for an announcement to let us know what further restrictions will be happening and when?

Next week I'm supposed to be going to visit family a few hundred míles away, that I only get to see once a year at the most.

I've booked the hotel and made my plans to travel there. I currently can't be sure I will be allowed to go or or we would even be able to see each other, even outdoors.

I'm finding it frustrating not knowing what restrictions are going to come next even though I kind of feel like it's already been decided by the government but just not passed on to us yet.

I know it's not a big problem with the state of things at the moment, but it's just hard to know whether to let the kids get excited about seeing their cousins and close family and the fact we were planning a little adventure.

They haven't really had a lot to look forward to this year and this was something very exciting for them to think about.

Yes the government need to make decisive decision yay or nay to travel distances and types of gatherings.

The advice seems to be keep things to a minimum, keep testing up to date and boost.

But things could change to more severe restrictions over night.

Keep on the Gov website for updates.

Hope you and your family manage to have a kind of great Chrismas.

Lot's of love xxx

Mp's are now on holiday until 4th jan so i don't think boris can make any changes until then as it would need to be voted in parliment.

"Mp's are now on holiday until 4th jan so i don't think boris can make any changes until then as it would need to be voted in parliment. "

They would be called back to vote on them over Christmas if necessary, even Christmas Day itself.

Yes, it's all very frustrating, but that's the name of the game in a global pandemic...as a minimum if you're lucky. As a maximum, it's death or disease devastation in multiple relatives and friends as some people have all too frequently found out. And anything in between the minimum and maximum.

They know they'll be revolt if they cancel Christmas and will be such Nas PR for them so I think you can be fairly confident about your travel plans.

New year not so confident i could definitely see restrictions coming after Christmas.

No way are these mp's coming back in to vote, they are probably tanning it up somewhere as we speak. Have heard that they will look to bring in further restrictions from the 5th

Depends on whether it's before or after Christmas. Maybe have a back up plan just in case. A video call party or something.

Fingers crossed it goes ok.

This and they do appear to pushing back on the modelling (which seems excessive) and waiting for real data.

We've binned Christmas as far as family visits go.

Probably have Christmas in February, it's great, did it a few times when Paul was away.

Hopefully, the holidays in Cap and GC will make up for a lost Christmas.

Scaremongering propaganda, unbelievable how people STILL fall for the bs. As long as they do this nonsense will never end.

100% agree, I am not politically minded at all, but find myself torn between the ‘Boris is a twat’ and ‘poor bloke getting criticised for not being a fortune teller’

As long as the best interest of us all are at the heart of any decision and it is based on the best available evidence at the time then that’s all we can hope for.

I feel an announcement is imminent and it is certainly palpable which could be a strategy as it helps soften the blow.

New years eve in my opinion is a red flag for the modelling, if they let that go ahead how could they justify restrictions after it? Unless the restrictions are not as extreme as we think they could be.. Less extreme could be reducing people numbers meeting indoors, closing the borders, reducing hospitality and non essential to 50 - 75% capacity, but that would not be enough for many and far too much for others. Where is the balance?

Heard an interesting take on this on LBC yesterday.

If Boris recalls parliament he will likely face a large number of Tory rebels voting against the Govt and further restrictions. It will pass because Labour will support it. However, this could then lead to a vote of no confidence in BJ as leader of the Conservatives.

I'd only make tentative plans in the UK at present, so that all involved know that nothing is certain.

Bookings are better if they are flexible and refundable too.

It's a difficult time for you all.

I hear you but have no sympathy for Johnson. He is lazy opportunistic crook who landed the top job on false promises. He needs to grow a pair and be decisive instead of always trying to be popular and prevaricating to check which way the wind is blowing. Clearly I cannot stand him, but I would have more respect.

Lol, Imagine waiting to be told who you are allowed to meet with in a private household by folk that meet who they want, when and where they want.

Fuck that shit - never, ever again.

Trying to be fair to both sides.

The government have to balance economy with public health.

Medics will think of their patients and future patients and not necessarily take into account their actions on economic issues.

Its seems, as yet, the massive spike in transmission has not resulted in hospital admission.

I feel the obsession on fatalities somewhat clouds the issue.

Most people who enter hospital don't die, unless they are end of life, massive trauma or have pre existing life threatening conditions.

Just looking at death rates will not give you a fair overview of the numbers needing ICU / HDU beds.

In other words, if nobody dies from this new variant it does not equate to hospitals not being overwhelmed and it's my understanding that is the major factor in the medical advisors decision making.

Stay safe everyone, be nice and have the best Christmas you can.
