Penzance

I would say close to 100%. It would be crazy to think anyone could have avoiding such a claimed transmissible air born virus circulating for over 2 years.

It's unfortunate these figures related to test results will never give a true picture of things as they don't include the multitude of times someone has got this and just got on with things and shrugged it of as a cold and let the old trusty immune system deal with it.

If we go by the official figures, about 16%. In reality probably more like 30-35%

I'm factoring in asymptomatic cases and people not bothering to test. I absolutely accept that there have been 11 million positive tests.

He probably appreciates there's a lag between cases proved positive and the numbers appearing on the stats.

Actually, that lag isn't as bad as you'd imagine, generally the positive tests counted are added in the correct 24 hour period. The real lag comes between infection and test.

If we are talking percentages 1% is about 700,000 so closer to 0.5% is about right?

Per day, yes. Assuming significant under reporting.

Then there is re-infection, a figure soon to be quoted in the stats.
