"From 15 December, COVID passes will be required in: • Nightclubs and other late-night dance venues • Any venue open between 1am and 5am - That serves alcohol during those times - That has a dance floor or a "designated space for dancing" - That has music - live or recorded - for dancing • Indoor events with 500 or more people who are not seated or "likely to stand or move around for all or part of the event" • Outdoor events with 4,000 or more people who are seated or "likely to stand or move around for all or part of the event" • Any event with 10,000 or more people - indoor or outdoor - such as large sport or music events" there seems to be a lot of confusion. As I've spoken to 3 clubs this week and they have said as they don't get 500 people in they don't need to but I thought they were classified similar to night clubs

"Reading some different news sites, it seems the government feel that Covid is super smart in that it mutates after 1am. After 1am, certain venues need to ensure patrons have a covid pass. Covid is officially a Gremlin.."

"Scotland has them and still dont stop covid. Also lfts dont work big pop festival in glasgow people had to have negitive lft but still 550 covid positive cases at the weekend of the festival" yet we use them very effectively in the home I work at. Some people aren't honest and just because you test negative the day you go to something. You can he positive days later but were infectious prior. Its not perfect but it all helps along with vaccinations and social distancing when possible

"Nothing to do with health all about control. We've got a Chinese virus and we'll end up with a Chinese society." Totally. I must say the level of compliance has totally shocked me. I have far less questions about how things were allowed to unfold as they did in ww2

"Multiple layers of incremental protection are likely better than 1, especially as some people are resistant to doing 1 thing to help others as well as themselves. Are these rules official for you all in England yet? You can't even get into a shop where I am living, without a pass. " Oh Yippee, that's what everyone wants - keep out the unwashed

We can however, do our best to protect ourselves and the Government are attempting to do that. Unfortunately a small minority of idiots are making their job quite difficult.

Most swinging clubs will have at least one of these conditions apply to them. Better get them latterel flow tests done Friday morning, if your not double jabbed or don't want to download the NHS app and your planning on going out this weekend, just in case.

"Nothing to do with health all about control. We've got a Chinese virus and we'll end up with a Chinese society." Do you say things like this to people you actually meet or is it an internet only type of thought? ?

"Reading some different news sites, it seems the government feel that Covid is super smart in that it mutates after 1am. After 1am, certain venues need to ensure patrons have a covid pass. Covid is officially a Gremlin.." Actually it's more a case that some idiots assume that's the reason for restrictions when actually it's far more simple.

The sole purpose of our existence is not to protect our failing, inefficient health service. I give a shit about other people. I give a shit about the millions on the NHS waiting lists, the tens of thousands of missed cancer diagnoses, the children whose development and education continues to be damaged by these restrictions, the hospitality businesses who are suffering from the ongoing uncertainty and confusing messaging, the elderly who are locked away in care homes and not able to have visitors. The cure is worse than the disease.

Many people automatically assume that those referring to control, conspiracy etc do not care for others, this poses a different viewpoint. I assume that within your care for others you have been vaccinated to reduce risk? Not an inflammatory question but one that allows the different viewpoint to be considered. I am vaccinated and essentially in favour but accept that others will have a different view and to call all people with this view idiots doesn’t work for me, don’t get me wrong there are some that clearly have not considered any other angle than the one they are pushing, but this can be said on both sides

The more the virus spreads, the more covid patients will end up in hospital; which would lead to even longer waiting lists that you complain about. The more the virus spreads, the more it will affect the education of students in schools and colleges who either fall sick or have to isolate if tested positive. These measure are aimed at controlling the spread, and also helps to prevent a full lockdown.

Laying the groundwork for further future expansion. Anyone who thinks it'll stop there is as mistaken as the ones who swore vaccine passports would never exist in the UK.

So unless your swinging club closes before 12.59 am … take the LFT and show the covid pass

So what's your alternative ? Close them all down ? Let Covid run rampant ? Pretend there is no worldwide pandemic ? Quote some random pretending to be an expert in YouTube ?
