Recovered from Covid and travelling

Hi I’m due to travel to France next Wednesday. I had Covid on the 10th November 2021 and I'm worried about the PCR day 2 test picking the old infections on my return.

The advice from GOV is not to have second PCR test within 90 days of a positive test.

Is it pretty likely that my PCR test will be positive?

If you dig on the government website, somewhere, you will find that even if you are recovering, when arriving from overseas, you still need to do a second day test. No PCR for 3 months advice is just for domestic only. The government only deals with vaccinated and unvaccinated unfortunately.

I'd check with the French government website if I were you as each country have their own entry rules regarding a positive test in relation to having cobid in the last 3 months

To be honest, the government doesn’t give a dime about you as long as you buy that test and send them code. Even though I paid for it, the test never arrived, the company doesn’t offer refunds and no one bothered me since.

Did anyone get in contact with you when you didn’t do your test?

No one phoned me or anything, I guess as long as you pay your “tax” in their friends’ coffers they leave you alone. Kind of Sicilian mafia , a bit more polished ??

That's a potential problem for you as its quite likely that you will return a positive PCR up to 90 days after having had Convid as enough viral fragments may still be in your body to show up on the test.
