Almost two years since the virus came about

As cases go up and down and new variants sprout

How much longer do ye guys think we will be flattening the curves for ?

Until the virus dies out ?

Or they find a cure ? Or natural immunity?

As long as it's a bad idea to overwhelm hospitals.

The higher the level of infections and effects on society, there are 2 key impacts -

High infection levels equals high mutation levels and higher risks of greater severity of the impact.

The virus directly and indirectly affects our wellbeing in diverse ways. It hits economies, it damages health services' responses to other health problems, quality of life is affected and millions of years of lost healthy lives are disposed of, for example.

If we flatten the curve, things are more manageable and impacts are less severe. Treatment options are increasing on an ongoing basis, such that more lives can be saved today, compared to 2 years ago. Our systems are much better able to cope when not overloaded.

It will carry on as long as people enable governments behaviour.

If, millions choose to ignore rules there’s nothing they can do.

Yeah, looking at the sequelae of this thing, I'm glad most people can pull themselves together to go through some minor inconvenience.

Is that what you're doing in Cyprus? I think you have to wear masks in all public places, don't you?

There may be rules but there are also lifestyle options, including getting vaccinated, that provide a safer life and better well-being - including staying alive.

being a longterm asthmatic I would rather the minor inconvenience of a mask than the potential of catching a virus that can wreck my respiratory system and kill me

People just don’t get it. They’re so plugged into the bs narrative. Everybody is going to get it. The virus spreads regardless. ‘Slowing the spread’ all these phrases they use are just nonsense. It’s to keep you all toeing the line. As long as people keep accepting their freedoms being curtailed under the guise of the greater good and the patronising messaging of ‘keeping you safe’ bs when you aren’t even at risk, this… will continue.

We don’t have the Ebola virus out there.

The reaction is completely disproportionate to the risk faced.

Read the post above yours. Think about it, seriously. Then if you feel the need to, respond in a considered and relevant way. That's what grown ups do.

Or trot out the trite statements you have heard the cool kids say. That's what the slightly thick kids do.

Up to you.

Apart from closing business, schools, council services, etc...

Yes "people' can refuse to follow the rules, but companies can't.

Realistically, the government don't want restrictions any more than we do, they are losing huge amounts of tax-income... anyone who thinks otherwise is obviously confused.

Sure are.

But when someone has said for most of the pandemic that it'd end when people stopped complying, it sure would be nice to see any actual evidence of that. And if it is true, then maybe we should work out how to apply that to any other problems humanity faces.

It will carry on as long as people enable governments behaviour.

If, millions choose to ignore rules there’s nothing they can do.

And if millions do this we will be stuck with this shitty virus even longer end of.

Do you have any idea why we dont "have the ebola virus out there" ?

It's actually quite simple

"Almost two years since the virus came about

As cases go up and down and new variants sprout

How much longer do ye guys think we will be flattening the curves for ?

Until the virus dies out ?

Virus will never die out to be honest.

It’s here to stay and will be getting booster after booster till we are all zombies "

First vaccines where to fit us with chips, then it was about a great reset and a mass population cull, now it’s about creating zombies . Some viruses do die out or at least die down and immunity builds within a population. This one does look like it is now here to stay though,

Is that what you're doing in Cyprus? I think you have to wear masks in all public places, don't you?

There may be rules but there are also lifestyle options, including getting vaccinated, that provide a safer life and better well-being - including staying alive.

No masks here. Indoors yes, but many don’t. General consensus is people have had enough of it all out here.

I'm delighted you've discovered a cure for the virus. I never knew the will of the people was so potent.

Can we have enough of HIV and child malnutrition soon? We can't spend all our healing properties on one problem."

Funny well not really how govts can't provide drinking water for everyone worldwide but can provide jabs?

No one said it was a cure. He said people had had enough. He’s right. Take a trip to a city, it’s been 95% normal for months. People are just getting on with life.

When I give a single solitary fuck about what people consider normal or believe I should be swayed by such, you'll be the first to know.

And no one gives a solitary fuck about what you think either, and are not likely to be swayed by such, but we’re all entitled to post opinions and observations on here, are we not?

Sure are.

You know, that’s actually an easy one to answer and you can do it yourself.

How many people have you seen drop dead in street like it showed on the news at the very beginning of this plandemic?

How many people do you know that have died FROM it, not with it? No other health issues.

If it weren’t for the masks and the constant mainstream media propaganda bombardment would you really know that the deadliest virus ever to exist was actually out there?

I’m sure you’ll come back with some great answers but I hope you pause for a moment to consider what I’ve just written.

Just out of interest, what would you do if it mutated again into a variant that was killing say 10% of unvaccinated people? Or 20% unvaccinated people? What proportion dying would make you panic? 30%? 50%? At what point would you stop believing that you had got a super immune system that could handle it on its own?

What it it was killing children but not adults, would you take a vaccine to try to prevent children getting infected?

What if it was killing adults but not children, but children were carriers, would you ask for children to be vaccinated to try to prevent adults getting infected?

I'm just interested in where peoples red lines are regarding danger of death, in which age group, and where they would change from thinking vaccines not required, to saying vaccines are required.

Ummm.... Well no, there are still on average more than 100 people not "waking up" each day in the UK (that's still a rate of nearly 40,000 people dying a year).

A figure that would have been pretty shocking just two years ago. But I guess people just don't care any more.

Similar numbers to sepsis, and flu, and many other illnesses. We can’t revolve the world around covid. It’s insanity, but some are too far gone. Thankfully, as others have said, more are finally questioning things. Including “following the money.”

I still fail to see your point. Pandemic exists. Even if you don't have experience of it.

Vaccines have side effects. No one denies this. I have someone close to me who suffered a life changing vaccine reaction. I've still had all my vaccinations and will continue to get them

I also have suffered no personal loss from Covid and feel empathy for those who have. And will continue to mitigate against it.

But when someone has said for most of the pandemic that it'd end when people stopped complying, it sure would be nice to see any actual evidence of that. And if it is true, then maybe we should work out how to apply that to any other problems humanity faces.

So because you don't see it it's not real?

Goodness

Well I'm convinced. Object permanence is a myth. If you don't see it it's not there. Awesome

I know enough people who know other people who know other people and non of them know anyone that has had it or died from it.

What I do know tho is 2 people who have died from the jab with 3 days of having it and one who is now a vegetable and wheelchair bound from having a stroke a week after it. But I’m

Sure these are all just coincidences aren’t they?

I know people who know people who know people, none of whom have been to Canada.

By your logic Canada is fake.

I’m sure in your head that made sense. Not so much to others.

Ok.

And will continue to mitigate against it."

Then you have my deepest sympathy. You are in for a shock when the truth comes out and it’ll be too late for you unfortunately.

"Almost two years since the virus came about

As cases go up and down and new variants sprout

How much longer do ye guys think we will be flattening the curves for ?

Until the virus dies out ?

Or they find a cure ? Or natural immunity?

You will never get off the roundabout if you always comply, health secretary today has said a jab every 3/4 months for the foreseeable future … how many are willing to take up to 10-20 jabs in the next 5 years ?

Not for me pal 2 was enough no more vaccines

Many are saying the same thing sir

There all useless and a waste of money tbh

You sound like you’re terrified. For gods sake don’t go out, you may get hit by a bus. "

I'm not terrified at all. I'm careful, which is a totally different thing.

So are you going to tell us where your red lines would be? Surely there is some point at which you would decide to get jabbed. Or are you claiming that 100% death rate would not convince you to get vaccinated? Maybe you consider that under every possible circumstance, the vaccine is worse than the disease.

What would you do if we got an outbreak of ebola? Where you could see people with blood coming out of their eyes, nose, ears?

I'm just really interested in what your personal position would be.

I have never and will never take part in a medical experiment, which this is. These jabs are in phase 3 human trials and for the first time in history they have skipped animal trials.

"Love this take … exactly the only reason we agreed at first was from the images shown in China of dead people in the street ! We were scared ! No longer are we scared and more people are waking up everyday !

Including “following the money.”"

That's true to a fair degree. It's somewhat higher than even a bad flu year, yes sepsis deaths are higher in general.

But beyond that what 'inconveniences' are you now facing due to Covid restrictions? Ummm....the only thing I can think of for most of us, is mask wearing. Well if thats all you have to worry about count yourself lucky.

But if we are going to keep a lid on things, there will be a few years of booster jabs (20mins of your life a year give or take) and maybe more rigorous testing from time to time.

Beyond that a lot of noise on TV but thats all. Economically yep, we are going to be counting the cost for years & years.

The real life impact of Covid is sobering. In the first year of COVID-19 (5 March 2020 to 5 March 2021), 1.5 million potential years of life were lost in the UK as a result of people dying with the virus. On average, each of the 146,000 people who died with COVID-19 lost 10.2 years of life -far higher than average years lost in a bad flu pandemic.

I suspect governments will be grappling with control over this virus for some time to come.

They've been overwhelmed for years due to successive governments failing to properly fund them

Now they're passing the blame onto the taxpayers to cover up their faults

Ok thanks for your opinions guys n gals … just wanted to see different points of views … personally I have nothing against anyone taking jabs .your body your choice .. . but I myself have decided not to take any jabs and won’t be taking any either .. I won’t be coerced into taking it …

98 per cent survival rate even if I do catch it ..

This time next year wonder how many jabs , boosters it be then …

It’s like that song from steps I think sang it

5,6,7,8 .. stay safe everyone !!

And as for the mandating that’s supposedly gonna happen in Austria and Greece over 60s I think it’s disgusting ?? whatever happened to peoples rights

I do have an issue with the endless restrictions being described as protecting the NHS. If it was really about that the government would have spent the last two years investing in the NHS to increase capacity. People can’t say they disagree with restrictions because the government has created the narrative that people should protect the NHS rather than the NHS protecting the people. This just distracts from the underfunding and wastage of the NHS

The NHS is not underfunded, its budget increases every year and it received extra for COVID. It's never enough. It is just inefficient and badly managed, and the pandemic has exposed its failings. Too many middle managers and diversity coordinators, not enough doctors and nurses. We need to stop treating it like a religion. I do agree to some extent though - these restrictions haven't just been about 'protecting the NHS', and it's the NHS's job to protect us not the other way round. If this was really all about health, why did they close gyms while keeping McDonalds open? The restrictions have only worsened other health conditions and added to NHS waiting lists.

As to the OP, this will end when people stop complying. Simple as that.

It will carry on as long as people enable governments behaviour.

If, millions choose to ignore rules there’s nothing they can do.

We can't spend all our healing properties on one problem.
