"Last year I did blood samples for the Biobank Covid research project. Today I received an email asking me to do another one, to test how long antibodies remain in the blood for. Presumably this means I’ve had it at some point, and I didn’t know? Does anyone know?" It might well be just a blanket recheck of everybody. They can then check for: - those who had antibodies before, what level do they have now - those who had no antibodies before, do they have them now - what correlation is there between these results and known dates of infection, vaccination etc.

"Have you had any jabs? They are likely contacting you because you participated before and not because they expect you to have antibodies because you had the virus." I’ve had 3 jabs now

"With the vaccines available in the UK, they can differentiate between vaccine induced and disease induced immunity, by testing for spike antibodies versus other antibodies (nucleocapsid is used in the US to differentiate, from what I've gathered). A whole virus vaccine, less likely that'd be so (there the limits of my knowledge show up) but they could be looking at vaccine induced immunity" Ahh, maybe. I had my vaccines during the 6month testing period.
