If all sexual deseases and perhaps the common cold could be prevented WOULD that make a difference to sexual attitudes

There is just one reason why sti s are still a risk and why most insist on condoms

Many vaccines are very close to 100% and certainly much higher effectiveness than many types of contraception.

Most (not all) are happy to take those substantially minimsed risks.

Therefore, anything that lowers the risk would be a good thing.

However as we are talking about so many different types of infection here, one vaccine would be very unlikely to protect you from everything.

The Terence Higgins Trust did have a "break the chain" campaign during lockdown to encourage getting tested and (if positive) starting treatment for HIV

I paid to have the HPV vaccine privately as didn’t qualify for it under NHS, gives me a bit of reassurance that my risk is lowered. Would sign up for herpes and hiv vaccines if they were available. If I could have those I’d go crazy and go riding a new cock every day!

I would only consider bareback once some trust has been built and if we were non-exclusive FWBs or FBs, only with regular testing - you can't be too careful these days!!

But I totes agree I’d so have the HIV one in particular. I feel Prep is kinda heavy on the body so I’m hoping they will have a vaccine eventually x
